No phone number on their website, Also no address. Use at your own risk !!!0 -
Just had an amusing few minutes clicking the links for the cheap parcel websites in the first official cheap parcel thread - not a lot of them still around!! In fact only the infamous Parcel2go, and Interparcel, who have taken more than a drumming on this and the other 3 threads. But they can't be all that bad when they're the only ones (them and p4d) that have actually survived.
The moral of the story - sometimes the cheapest aint the best. Sometimes, nearly the cheapest, but from a multi million turnover company that isn't running out of someone's back bedroom and operating under the VAT threshold is a better long run solution.
Congrats, p4d, Interparcel and parcel2go - you're still standing!!0 -
I have sold quite a few large things on ebay recently and through recommendation had been using Senditnow which uses Parcelforce. Out of 4 of the parcels I have used 2 arrived on time, the other a day late and the last one was a week late as it was missorted and sent to the wrong depot much to the buyers annoyance. I will never use them again. Have been using Parcel2go since and used DHL, even though you pay for 48 hour delivery most of them have been delivered in less than 24 hours, I am very impressed so far.0

Sandiep - you are so right. We've seen it several times on this forum, Parcel2Go have been around over 10 years now I think similar for Interparcel and P4D about 5 years.
Everyone should realise that it's the resellers job to provide the customer service and back-up, they can't do anything about failed collections, late parcels or damage etc. We want e-mails replied to quickly, phone calls answered and refunds refunded promptly. Anything else I'm missing? Oh and good prices too :rotfl:0 -

also bear in mind a lot of resellers are doing it as a sideline on their mail business
eg nextday2go appears to be registered to a car audio site0 -
Ive bought 2 air conditioning units, which are portable. The seller put £40 parcelforce 48hr. Both are for delivery with in the UK (London).
Ive had a look at Parcelforce website and i cant see how they can deliver the items. I expect an air-con unit to be around 25kg in weight, maybe Size (H)80, (W)40, (D)50cm when packaged. When i put this into the website it comes up as un-shipable.
Other sellers have postage listed at £9.99, which i find very strange as surely such a large parcel cant be shipped that cheaply.
Im only asking as we really want to help the seller out, we really want these items delivered (they are cheap) but i cant see how it will happen, and we might have to cancel the auction and buy elsewhere. It was really hot here yesterday.
I would guess its something like this, where it says 16kg weight.

This amazon seller has postage as £12.00

Anyone?
so are dropping them off at the RM depot/post office
rather than wait for a courier to collect
why are you worried about the deal not going through?
pay the £40 and wait0 -
Maybe the seller is profiteering by artificially inflating shipping charges?
Would not really say so, seller offered to drive the 100 round trip to deliver both items for fuel costs.
Seller cant deliver both items, have to be through mail company as being forwarded on overseas through BFPO system.0 -
By the way, those type of portable air-con units are generally crap.0
