Cheapest for 50 kilos anyone? I've got the chance to buy two fire pits very cheap, but I'm thinking shipping is going to push them well up.
• Hello everyone,

After an extended holiday due to the ash problem I am now back in the UK.

I see there have been a number of users looking for me so through fear of being seen as hijacking the forum I ask that they contact me at matt@parcelmonkey.com

not that bad!!!!

a company called Epostal Epostal.mirrorz as previously mentioned in this forum is preety cheap for heavy parcels.
I've sent a 50kg parcel to italy last week for £45 and 4x30kg parcels to china for £65 each.......unbeatable!!!!!

Not to mention their non-volumetric UK service 250x180x60cm parcel of 30kg just £25 WOW!!!!! :)

communication a bit slow though.... but for the prices I don't care!!!

Hiya,
I forgot to post in this discussion and only on the discount code thread. The discount code I had through the other day - ELECTION10 - 10% off any parcel over 2.5kgs with sendingParcels.com

Hi Guys.
Recently posted this elsewhere but feel i may get some advice from this thread;

I've just sold some of my auntys crockery (china plates, bowls etc) on Ebay, and one user in Ebay has won them.

However it seems that the postage options im looking at (collect my parcel) and (parcelline) won't insure these items, and will only send them on a non-compensation basis.

Is it the norm to send these type of goods with no cover, or should i look elsewhere? If the latter is the case, does anyone have any ideas where I could look?

Thanks,

Your insurance against damage is bomb proof packing - carriers will not insure china against damage.
Your insurance against loss is to use a recognised first division carrier - parcelforce - dhl - ups to name a few with on line tracking and signature on delivery.

I agree with Kayster. Spend money on your packaging, fragile stickers mean nothing to most carriers.

No parcel carrier will insure glass, china, ceramics, porcelain etc. They are outside the terms of insurance and carried at own risk.

As Kayster says - packaging, sufficient to drop from waist height to the concrete ground.

That's because the parcels are sorted on automated sorting hubs and conveyor belts, and machines don't read fragile labels and this way up stickers.
