Loss Claim Notification :: Order 169101-226013 Consignment: MBG17952

Let's see if I get some luck making this public!!!! I lost £60 + had to send my customer new parcel again costing an extra £60 plus delivery.

You work with CiTY Link and they are useless!!!!

Someone else spanking the monkey. I put that tracking number into the city link website and it shows it delivered and signed for. Have you got this right?

Hmmm.. I dont like the fact that parcelmonkey now use HDNL, as well as other couriers. If they use HDNL, Ill make most of my deliveries by payperparcel(after all, they're only about 2p more expensive!)

They are however now cheap to the Islands and to Ireland

A friend of mine also got a cheap postal price from the royalmail and this was for 4kg! It cost just under £9 to send it to the Isle of Wight, whereas everywhere else it would cost £15-£18

It'sa a long story Kayster. There were 2 parcels and they were mixed up and delivered to the wrong addresses hence marked as dispatched in the system. The labels were correct and one customer received the other ones parcel and I can't explained how and I had to send them over again.
Thing is you can't talk to anyone at Parcel Monkey over the phone, they do not reply to emails and not even their representative member here in MSE is answering me.

I see your problem. The difficulty is proving that is was City link that mixed them up and not you who put the wrong label on the wrong parcel as it does seem rather difficult to deliver a parcel to Mr A in Edinburgh if it is addressed to Mr B in Grimsby on the label.

I think it is not difficult as couriers don't look at the address in the label as postman do they do scan.
    The question is:
Was it City Link who mixed up the bar codes with names and addresses or was it Parcel Monkey's system? but with their apalling Customer Services I would never know and I lost my money.
    I can confirm
1 parcel was delivered to Mr A in Edinburgh addressed to Mr B in Grimsby on the label and
1 parcel was delivered to Mr B in Grimsby addressed to Mr A in Edinburgh on the label
MR A called me to say he received a parcel addressed to Mr B from Grimsby
    and
MR B called me at the same time to say he has received a parcel addressed to Mr A from Edinburgh. They were both amazed!!!
Only conclusion I have is the wrong bar codes were used.

I just spoke with City Link and they confirmed they will not look at the addresses on the label but use the bar codes to determine where a parcel should go.
They said there is nothing they can do (and rigthly so) as they delivered the parcels as instructed by Parcel Monkey.
Once again I have to made people aware to not use this company as in the event of a problem they'll forget about you. I wonder what happens when you add and pay extra for compensation in case of lost or damage. Only thing you'll lose if parcel get lost is your money and any extras paid.

I can understand them not looking at the address as it goes through the system as most of it is automated, but surely the driver looks at the address before he delivered ?

have to agree, otherwise the driver on deliver would have to scan the items to work out what address items are going to
