I phoned up to get 3 months free for signing up for a further 12 months, and they suggested the £2.50 per month off would be better value for me instead (3 months free would mean a £22.50 saving, £2.50 over 12 months would mean a £30.00 saving).
Anyone who is out of contract and is happy to stay with them for a further 12 months, I strongly suggest you ring them up and tell them you want this deal. I have got the deal for loads of my mates, with no problems.

Hiya guys does anybody know if o2 offer any retention deals with there broadband????0

They emailed lots of people offering 3 months free in return for a new 12 month contract late last year. I took it. Not sure if that offer is still running though.0

3 reports seen recently:
One guy (probably on an o2 mobile contract buying standard at £12.50 -> £7.50 after discount) said he got o2 home BB at £5 for another 12m+ commitment.
Another guy said he was going to be able to get the current perk of £50 also for a fresh 12m+ commitment

Someone else reported 2m free. (The o2 "3m free" vocabulary seems to have faded Xmas 2009 down to just "2m free" generally, and has gone altogether as a fresh offer for new subs.)
Try for something - worst they can is say NO - they won't disconnect you unless you specifically say "cancel my a/c"

I'm on the standard package and have an O2 mobile so have been paying £7.50/month. Just spoke to retentions and was offered the £50 bill credit deal if I sign up for another 12 months.
Was also offered the £2.50/month discount but I asked if this was ongoing or just for the next 12 months and was told the discount just lasts a year. Therefore, an easy decision.
The £50 credit is applied within 90 days so I am told and there is a 14-day cooling-off period in case I change my mind.
Had been thinking I would switch away with cashback but there don't seem to be any better deals around at the moment.0 -
O2 just phoned me up, my broadband doesn't expire for another month.
I'm on the standard £7.50 a month (i'm an O2 customer). Without me really saying anything he offered 2 months free for signing up for a another 12 months.
Then he said instead I could have their 'premium broadband' for £10 a month with £50 cashback.
Does this sound similar to what other people have been offered recently? I notice on their website they offer £50 phone credit if you sign up to their £7.50 broadband, obviously I'm not a new customer but is it worth me pushing for this?
Thank you0
