    They do give you £30 on the legacy package.

    Ask for the "winter warmer"

    I did ask for that exactly.

    I was told by two different people that I could not have that and stay on my legacy Standard package.

    Yes I read that. However it didn't say which Legacy package hence why I asked if anyone on the Standard legacy tariff had got it.

    The story i was given was that it had to be at least the equivalent of the All Rounder or The Works as opposed to The Basics which is really the equivalent of the Standard.

    nope not noticed anything different, mind you I dont download ilegal music or software
    Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    It really depends on which of the new packages you went to.

    As posted above (#174) in answer to Life's Grand Plan, I have the £9.50 package ("standard")

    Missed that - thanks.

    I shall try again but having read their T&C from their website for the offer it specifically says;

    http://www.o2.co.uk/broadband/30-pounds-back/
    3 months free and 12 months half price offers exclude The Basics and Access packages, and are only on 12 month contracts.

    As the Standard package is the equivalent of The Basics package I can see why they have said that this offer is not available to me.

    Sounds like you got lucky with the rep you talked to.

    Didn't get the impression the £30 being given out by retentions was part of any ts + cs like that.

    Just a sweetener to get me to agree to another 12 month contract.

    Anyway, no harm in keeping at them!
