Anyone had any deals on the new type packages?
I've now finished my first year, it's been fine, P2P apart, but am being tempted by Sky LLU, despite not being a Murdoch fan. :D

What number did you all call to add the 6 months free to the old Standard/Legacy package ?
I've just done a live chat and got this response
    Dawn:
I'm sorry, 6 months free offer is only available on the new packages. You won't be able to get it on Standard package.

I phoned the number on this site yesterday but was in a queue for 30 mins so gave up http://www.o2.co.uk/6monthoffer

I'm also interested in getting the £7.50 a month Home Phone Line Rental

I've just phoned 0800 954 1367 and asked about the 6 months free and keeping my current Standard package.
The lady said it's not possible to take out a new contract on a old package ?
What number do I call ?

    Thanks ;)

I've just got through to retentions.
I've got the 6 months free on my current Standard Package but couldn't swop my phone line over without signing up to the new packages.

Does anyone know if traffic management applies to all packages or only the new ones? I'm on the old premium and I want to switch to a better deal, but some family members will be very cross if it ends up slowing down when they watch videos....

Funnily enough, I re-signed for another 12 months on the legacy Home Premium just today. I specifically asked about traffic management and was told the legacy products are not traffic managed, only the new ones.

Also, the legacy products have a truly unlimited download whereas the new ones have 100Gb fair usage (which is still loads).

I got six months free broadband and stayed with my old product.

I did already have home phone with o2 though.

I called the number above also and got the 6 month discount. I was already getting £2.50 off a month, so it's not too much a big saving.

I also have o2 p&g sim to get £5 discount. Does anyone know do I still need to top up £10 every 3 months to get 6 month free?
  • I've just rung the number quoted above and got the 6 month discount as well. Just told them I was thinking of going to Orange for Home Phone, Broadband and taking both mine and OH's mobiles to Orange. They offered the discount straight off, no quibble!

A big thank you to everyone on here for their posts. That's saved me some cash!
