I've never had problems with Quidco and joined a few months ago. I haven't made any large buys but I have received payments already. I used to shop online all the time without going through Quidco, so to me anything I earn now is a bonus and helps to fund some pocket money for the month. I can understand why some people feel that they have been conned when companies don't pay up but in my opinion it's designed to give a little back to the consumer and I wouldn't rely on it to make huge amounts back. It's down to the company to pay up and with more people on it now it's undoubtably going to take longer, just wish some companies took consumer's views into more consideration!0

Only a couple missing or not paid (about £20 worth) but £1900 in 16 months so I'm happy with that
All tracked even without bothering to clear cookies using IE8. All queries since October sorted and paid.
Insurances have taken their time but paid eventually.0 -

Does this we wont get our cashback? what can i do about it?
It depends on whether there was a cookie associated with Laura Ashley saved on your computer. Unless Laura Ashley is in your favourites and you visited recently then you are probably O.K.
I always check the actual Cookie folder on the PC after clearing cookies, because sometimes a few will still be in the folder, even though you have asked for all cookies to be cleared including unticking 'Preserve Favourites website'
Depending on what OS you are using you can manually find the folder on your computer. For XP it is located at C:\Documents and Settings\User\Cookies
You cannot see the folder when you navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\User so you have to type \Cookies in the address bar to open the folder. The only file in this folder should be a dat file named index.
If it doesn't track on Quidco you can put in an enquiry for them to look at.0 -
For those having tracking problems with their chosen cashback site, can I suggest downloading another browser to use ONLY for cashback? I have two browsers; Firefox and Flock (which is based on Firefox). Firfox I use for normal web use and Flock is used only for my dealings through TopCashBack. I've, as yet, not had any tracking issues using this system. It also means that you can clear your entire cashe without loosing cookies on your most visited websites.
People running IE might also want to consider using a more secure browser such as the two abovementioned or Safari, Opera, Chrome etc. IE is notoriously buggy and could be part of the missing transaction problem for some.0 -
I would just like to add that I have had the cookies folder open and watched the tracking cookies drop in the folder when using Quidco for a purchase, and even then sometimes the transaction fails to track.
This points to problems with the third party "commission" tracking and reporting the sales.0 -
I came across to Quidco from Greasypalm because of the better rates of cashback, but I have to say that I find the design of their site to be confusing. I have great difficulty in knowing exactly how much cashback is owing to me at any given time because of the confusing way in which they rank everything by month and include in the supposed "total" funds which have already been paid out.
I prefer Greasyplam's method where they reduced the balance to zero each time you're paid and show you exactly what has tracked, but don't include it in your running total until it has been validated.
Am I alone in finding Quidco hard to understand?
I am also annoyed, having received my first Quidco Paypal payment of £13.00 tonight, to discover I've been charged 65p in fees to receive this money. I've got a Paypal Premier account to enable me to receive money from eBay sales. I had a Personal account but I found that unless people paid me from an existing balances I couldn't accept the funds.
My beef is not with the fee per se, because I accepted the concept of Paypal fees when I upgraded. My argument is that companies such as Pinecone and Lightspeed remit funds to me via Paypal without having fees added - why can't Quidco do this? And they charge me £5.00 a year on top of this!!
I realise Greasypalm rates are rubbish, but at least you can elect to have payments made in the form of Amazon vouchers and get 5% added. And they don't charge an annual fee.
Is Quidco really all it's cracked up to be??0 -
Well, shock of shocks, I finally got my Sainsbury's cashback paid today! After only TEN MONTHS of waiting for it! Well done Quidco, you've excelled again! Now I can close down the account and never suffer the name Quidco again.
@fallen121: You do know you can have it paid into a bank account by BACS? You don't incur a fee that way.
And yes, I always thought Quidco's layout was beyond annoying. But then, I found Quidco as a whole beyond annoying, hence the move to TopCashBack where customer service is actually what it says and not an oxymoron! :rotfl:0 -
Still waiting for cashback from Asda finance and Morethan insurance... if you buying on quidco.. don't bother with these two clown firsms.
7 months now on asda finance for home insurance and 4 months now for more than. I email quidco support and I get fobbed off every month with the same excuse 'Asda are having difficulties atm'.

I totally agree with neas' post and I am suffering the same problem. For me the biggest problem is that since they changed their web site they have still not yet got the ratings and response rates from vendors which they had on the old site. This is fundamental to a customer deciding whether to go with a less reliable vendor in the hope of maybe getting more money as opposed to a reliable vendor who might pay less. My ASDA car finance didn't track within 24 hours so i emailed Quidco, as i could have cancelled and re-bought. They just said I had to wait 45 days for the tracking period to be up and then lodge a complaint. The 45 days were up and no money, yet my husband bought his car ins this afternoon from the AA and it's already tracked.
I wonder when Quidco are going to get this sorted, surely it would have been a simple case of transferring over the data on vendors they already had. I went with Sheilas Wheels last year and that tracked no problem, but Quidco really need to get this sorted.0 -
@ Christa1. My sister-in-law works in Affiliate Marketing down in London and its the Networks that do the tracking, not the cashback sites. From what she told me the cashback sites download the information provided to them periodically throughtout the day, weeks and months.
Apologies if you already knew this, not trying to be clever, just trying to add some info that might be useful to people on here.
