Still waiting for my LOVE FILM cashback. Its been 8 months, multiple emails sent, someone remind me why we pay our £5 fee again?
Because you're on the wrong cashback site!
Seriously though, you are a customer so you should treat Quidco like any other service provider/retailer and vote with your feet (or, in this case, mouse) and go elsewhere. There are several cashback sites that do not charge a yearly fee and one that actually offers you more cashback by toping your rate up (anything up to an extra 0.10%) if you use their site rather than rivals. For cashback, they're the top!0 -
Declined Npower £90
Decline RBS £60
Not happy. :mad:0 -
I'm really sad to see that Quidco are still playing the same old games with their customers. I know this thread doesn't get dozens of complaints a day (maybe if more people reported their Quidco promblems it would!) but the few complaints it does attract are usually the same; large amounts being declined. Worse still is that Quidco continue to say things like, "This amount has been declined and there's nothing we can do about it." Conversely, TCB go out of their way to ensure their members are happy. (No, I don't work for them, but I wouldn't be embarrassed if I did!) It's amazing how two companies who run the same business can be so different from eachother. It's like the difference between McDonalds and The Ritz!
That all being said, adam, I would strongly suggest that you put in a written complaint to Quidco to see if you can get some resolution to this. I would suggest sending a physical letter to the head office, but since the head office is a flat I wouldn't waste a stamp (seriously, google thier head office address and then click on Street View and it'll show you a dodgy looking flat!). E-mail then asking why they refuse to look into these transactions and then demand your £5 membership fee back.0 -

They still haven't paid up on the Nationwide £35 deal from last October:

Quidco messed us about saying we'd not deleted cookies & that was why certain purchases (insurances with major cashback too) hadn't tracked ALTHOUGH my husband swears he DID delete cookies before searching for deals. So, we tried again taking note that we followed Quidco's instructions to the letter & STILL no joy!
So, if we use this one you're all talking about .. TCB .. do we just clear cookies before browsing initially at sites with a view to buy through TCB?
Sorry, you are more experienced than we are, methinks! Any other help? TIA.0 -

Might be worth installing another browser like Google Chrome portable, so that you can just use that browser for cashback purchases, and won't have to clear your cookies on your main browser and lose your cookies for sites that you stay logged in to.
And stay away from Quidco, they are rapidly turning into scam artists, looks like they've hardly been paying anybody for months.poppy100 -
If you go direct to an insurance website to get a quote, and then go back via TCB then you won't get paid.
TCB need to be the referer, so any quotes obtained direct will not be deemed to have been refered via TCB.0 -

Sorry, but this is not true. I've taken out four insurance policies via TCB (two car, two home/contents) and all four have tracked and paid out.
I do the following:
Use TCB to search via the main comparison sites; each gives between 50p and £2.00 per search, so you get a few quid just for finding the best deal. (Although you should be aware that most of these comparison sites will only pay twice or thrice a year, so don't blow it all on your car insurance if you know you'll need to search again for your home later in the year; there's always a chance they won't pay out on more than one search for the same product, so just be aware of that.)
Once I've gotten the best quote I go back to TCB (always clearing cookies between sessions!) and go to the website that offered the best deal, put in the ref. number and buy the insurance. Bob's your uncle!
If you're worried that you won't get the cashback using this method then do stage one as usual to find the best deal, make a note of the company and the EXACT details you put in all the fields, back to TCB, click through to the company and fill out the quote form with the same details as you did before. This way you will get the same quote as you did using the comparison sites and you know you'll qualify for the cashback.
It's not complicated, but some people would have you believe it's harder than it actually is. Maybe these people also work for Quidco?! :rotfl:0 -

This was the reason given out for not paying out the cashback.
The quote was direct from the insurance website and not via comparison websites, so perhaps that is why they didn't pay out.0
