OH seems to think that paying all of his bills in a month is an achievement that should be congratulated. And that buying some shopping (all really useful stuff like beer ;) ) is making a contribution to the household finances. And yes, the leftover he had has now been wasted in the bookies, so I'll have to sort the washing machine. Why do I bother?

It isn't all bad though. had a lovely weekend with a friend, came back with three pairs of jeans that she no longer needed as she's lost 2 stone (lucky lucky lucky) and some primarni bargains (25p make up, reduced priced shirt and skirt for work). Also both loans are now sub 1K (4 more payments to go on the Egg loan woooo!) Egg card is slowly reducing now I can't spend any more off it, and barclaycard is drip drip drip coming down. 11 days til payday and counting.

well, washing machine ordered. On credit card, unfortunately, but it's not like we can really manage without one for any period of time. And the old one went bang so not easily repaired. Was quite cheap though and 3% cashback through quidco, every little helps as mr tesco says!

ten days til payday, £12 in purse. Got 2 gigs to go to next week, one on sunday will be cheap if I don't drink, wednesday will have to stay over in London so need to find a hostel or b&b. Should be no more than about £25, and will restrict the drinking that night too so the entire evening should be no more than £40. £20 petrol should last til payday so that will leave me with about £100 which will go straight onto the credit card.

Washing machine being delivered saturday. I'm actually looking forward to doing laundry, how tragic am I!

Forgot I'm at another gig tomorrow too, but might volunteer to drive so no drinking which means not much spending. Got a hostel bed for the london gig for £13 so that's £12 saved in the budget already! Will get petrol tomorrow and then make that last til payday.

Busy day at work today so first thought was 'supermarket on the way home, something nice for tea' but I've decided that I'm going to treat myself like a naughty child, I'm only allowed nice things if I behave myself (financially). And as I haven't this month, no treats for me (or no more at least, the gigs will be treat enough).

Washing machine is here and very lovely, currently doing load number two, shame it's throwing it down outside, have had to put the heating on to get everything dry. I'm now dreading the inevitable ironing pile!

Going to sit and do surveys this afternoon, and watch Soccer Saturday.

washing and ironing all done, am contemplating trying to sort out the video/dvd shelves while watching the football. I was trying to convert a huge amount of videos onto dvd but my dvd recorder is broken so that's on hold until I can get a new one, which is hardly a priority.

been quite a productive weekend, considering. Decided not to go out tonight so that saves a bit more money too.

Right, am definitely going to have a look at the videos and dvds. If it looks tidier it'll make me feel better about the generally shocking state of the house.

ok so I can't find the stepladders so sorting the shelves is out. OH must have lent them to someone. I'll maybe get him to get them all down when he gets home and I'll have a sort out then.

what can I do in the meantime to make the most of this burst of energy? Maybe I'll sit down for a while until it passes :D

Made it to payday with a few quid to spare. Not the £100 I was aiming for as a few forgotten things came up but all in all quite pleased.

Had a doctors appointment last week and have been told I have high blood pressure and the physical symptoms of stress (although I don't feel stressed) so have to lose weight. Well if that isn't incentive enough I don't know what will be. Went for a nice long walk yesterday so that's a start. Mostly housework today which while not exercise is at least movement and therefore an improvement! Seriously though, the drinking is definitely being cut down, as that is an easy place to make changes, and will be trying to snack less. First few days haven't been too bad, I just need to try harder on changing my mindset.

Am going to watch the end of the GP and then find some CDWM to watch while ironing. Also have a few surveys stacked up so will have to see if any of those are any good. It all counts!

not had a drink since Saturday night, and have tried to be as healthy as possible the last few days (it's a start). Also got a swimsuit from Tesco yesterday so as soon as I manage to get out of work on time (not much chance of that this week) I'm aiming to go swimming. Would be nice to go maybe twice a week to start and then build up.

Moneywise, did a bit of a big shop at Tesco yesterday, loads of whoopsied meat, so enough for plenty of meals. The supply of tins in the cupboard has now been replenished too. And only spent £44 (£12 of that was the swimsuit too) so that's not bad at all. Forgot to get a couple of things (despite them being on the list I took with me - typical me takes a list but not a pen to cross things off) so will have to pick them up tomorrow or Thursday - nothing urgent fortunately.
Also paid a bit off each card - they're all round numbers now!

Had a great but expensive weekend, so will be very very tight this week. Got £10 in my purse and that will have to last. Freezer is full, might need some petrol but that will hopefully be it.
I seem to be wishing time away at the moment, looking forward to the beginning of a month when the loan payments go out and I get one step closer to them being paid off.

Well have definitely cut down on the drinking and seem to be sticking to the plan, although this week that may be because I've got a streaming cold.
Am skint due to bailing out family member in a crisis. Thank goodness it's a bank holiday - have no plans to do anything except watch Eurovision on Saturday night, and give the bathroom a good going over.
Filled up with petrol today as it's down to 113.9 at asda. There's a fiver or so in my purse and you never know, it may last until next week. If I'm lucky until the end of next week (doubt it, but it's a target).
I really want to go swimming but can't until this cold goes. Gutted.
