Not Tiny, Not Courageous, but definitely in debt

Well I made it all the way there and back on the motorway - I hate motorways so I'm glad I managed it, thank goodness for sat navs! And didn't use as much petrol as I thought I would (put £45 in so I'd guess that'll last me for a while now)
Successful day at work all things considered.
Rushing around like a mad thing is actually fun, and it means I have less time to eat.
I'm completely and utterly determined that the egg card will be under 1k by payday.0 -
So where the heck is this sun everyone is talking about? It's cloudy and kinda nice up here.
Planning for 2 NSDs this weekend, don't need anything anyway so fingers crossed. I think I've now run out of things to ebay. I'm now looking at new shelving for my books/videos/cds/dvds. They're everywhere because the existing shelves are full. There's space to put some more in though, so I'm hoping OH will want to exhibit his DIY skills a bit more maybe next weekend.0 -
Woooo, payday tomorrow! Have had a couple of work related expenses that have set me back a little but as of today egg card is down to 1k exactly.
Not much to tell apart from that really. Lots of food in the cupboards, still a quarter or so of a tank of petrol in the car. OH gets paid a week friday, and is doing lots of overtime again.0 -
cheque from GTM arrived today, £32.40 which is fab. However I may have accidently decided to go on holiday so debt busting is on hold for now. Holiday will be as cheap as possible and will not get us further into debt so that's my plan.0

Trying to keep things tight again, going out on Friday with work, and then a Friday night in London in a couple of weeks. Apart from that no plans to do anything exciting - well nothing that will cost money anyway.
OH gets paid Friday, he was going to take us out for a meal but I've persuaded him that any spare cash can go toward holiday spends. I will pay off half the holiday with this wages and the rest with augusts.
Nearly up to £25 on pureprofile and need another 50p for valued opinions to get another voucher. Scratchie is still going strong - making £10 every month and a half or so. Getting there slowly.
Accidently paid some money onto the egg card instead of the barclaycard, but I can cover it and the quicker egg is paid off the better.0 -
Right well ended up having another night out last friday due to a short notice leaving do at work, however was quite well behaved and spent less than I anticipated.
Work is keeping me busy and I've started going swimming after work which means I'm not getting home til 7ish each night which is actually better because I'm snacking less and that means less food shopping. Swimming is only £10 a month unlimited so it's not mad expensive.
Have also found something that stops me drinking so much - Asda non-alcoholic spritzers. 97p and tastes lovely.
Am going to wait until the last of the washing is dried and then get ironing. Need to sort the wardrobe out too.0 -
Am now officially under 8k debt!
Egg loan has one payment left (2nd September), Lloyds loan has 3.
Been swimming last night and tonight, feel knackered but great. Gonna try to go again tomorrow too.
No alcohol since friday night, I don't know what's come over me. I'd love to think I've cracked it but I don't think so, I'm getting there though.0 -
So got to payday with a bit to spare. This payday is the last one for the egg loan, can't wait for 2nd September to see that balance as £0.00. That will be one debt down, 4 to go.
So glad the football season has started, that's my saturdays and sundays sorted for the rest of the year.
Because my life is so exciting, I'm going to spend the afternoon sorting out my old glasses to take to specsavers for recycling, and tidying my jewellry box. Fun fun fun!0 -
Washing is on the line and in the machine, lunches and teas for this week sorted, did a big shop yesterday and got loads of tins, pasta etc. There's a ham in the slow cooker with some apples so that'll do for lunch for the week.
Went to the charity shop the other day and got two more books for my holiday - I always take one for each day so reading material is all sorted now.
OH got paid yesterday and has now paid off all his payday loans thanks to hammering the overtime. He also gave me £200 which part will go towards the big shop yesterday and the rest off the egg card. If he can behave now we might be getting somewhere.0 -
Egg loan now fully paid off! Took it out in 2005 originally for 10k, got it down to 7k then topped it up to 15k. Stupid I know. But its closed and done now. The feeling of seeing balance 0.00 is a good one. One down, one loan and three cards to go.0
