Not Tiny, Not Courageous, but definitely in debt

Woo, £5 on butlins bingo scratchie, that took me up to another £10 withdrawal. And that will cover my entire week's entertainment (20p each way on every race at Cheltenham).
This is going to be an expensive month. Off into town for a bit for some unfortunately essential and expensive bits and bobs.0 -
Hi tiny
I've just read through your diary and thought I'd pop on to say congratulations on how well you're doing.
keep up the good work!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I've been so busy! Can't believe how quickly this month is going, or this year in fact. Nearly April, I'm doubting we'll get a pay rise this year but there should be some overtime in this month's pay packet (not much but it'll do).
Car has required more money spending on it, which is annoying.
Had a good week at Cheltenham, ended up a little bit up anyway. Now planning two weeks of frugality before payday. The freezer is full, not planning any nights out (although we know how that works) and I think I should get going with the decluttering.0 -
Wonders will never cease. OH has given me the money it cost to get the car fixed. Bless him he's done so much overtime these last few months.
Easter weekend should hopefully be relaxing.
5 payments to go to Egg loan! There is light at the end of the tunnel, and it's not from the oncoming train.0 -
Oh !!!!!!!
OH has just checked his bank account and one of those stupid payday loans he took out has taken the whole balance instead of the scheduled payment. So I've had to give him back the money he gave to me. Thank god he did that overtime otherwise he'd be screwed. I suppose one small mercy is that the payday loan is now paid off but why is it like 5 steps forward and 10 steps back? It's a good job I love him!
Have ordered him to do as much overtime as he can next month and I will be taking any excess. Have also confiscated his bank card and cheque book.
But eh, it's only money. There are more important things. We're not doing bad and we will get there sooner or later.0 -
It's just one thing after another.
Sorted car insurance, now just need to tax the cars.
Then the washing machine has blown up. Oh joy.
I feel like I'm swimming through mud sometimes.0 -
Right, feeling more positive today. Pointless moaning about things that cannot be changed.
Have so far today had an argument with car insurance company who are finding sending me my insurance documents very difficult (why, goodness only knows), tidied the front room, found lots of random tubs of food in the freezer that will do for lunches next week, next is to shift some stuff from the spare room. I want to just lug everything out of there and bin it but I'm scared of spiders so don't really want to move stuff where a spider might run out from underneath, so will have to wait for OH to do that. There's a bookcase full of videos that I can half clear though.
Just did breakdown cover through Quidco, £80 but should get £40 cash back.
Not particularly planning on leaving the house this weekend, apart from to sit in the back yard in the sun. Will be drinking lots of coffee and mealplanning I think, though I'm not sure what shifts OH will be on next week.
OH has worked out he might have enough for a new washing machine when he gets paid next week, so that's good. Got enough clothes to last the next week, and if not there's always handwashing, not done that since I was a student!0 -
We've made a good start on the spare room, got rid of a car load of stuff to the tip, have 5 bags of stuff for the charity shop, and found 2 things possibly worth ebaying - one already listed and has a watcher already which is good.
OH says he'll have a sort out of all his tools during the week so that should get rid of some more stuff too.
Some family worries at the moment, waiting for news on things but I'm trying not to think about that.
I've had a bad rash on my neck recently, and have narrowed it down to some perfume I got from lush a couple of months back. It was part of an online order so will email them to see what they say. Shame, as it's gorgeous.
5 Days till the weekend. Busy busy busy at work. Lunches planned for the week, am going to try to not drink monday-thursday, so we'll see how that goes.0 -
Car tax done, went to asda on the way home and got loads of yellow stickered stuff, so shouldn't need much more than the basics for the next couple of weeks.
Got a night out planned Friday and then am away staying with a friend on Saturday.
Work ridiculously busy at the moment, hardly got chance to breathe, thank goodness it's a bank holiday coming up.
Ebay, my one item has 5 watchers and a couple of bids.
Am awaiting a £10 tesco voucher from valued opinions, and need another 50 points for a globaltestmarket payout. Seem to be getting lots of surveys at the moment.
Got rid of more stuff to the charity shop, and OH is currently tidying his stuff in the spare room (2 full crates of tools, which he never uses). I think he's putting the christmas tree and decs in the loft (it's only april!).
At least OH paid his own car tax this year. He gets paid friday so we'll have to have a look to see how much we can afford for a new washing machine.0
