Not Tiny, Not Courageous, but definitely in debt

Been mad busy recently, and am absolutely knackered. I've got a horrible feeling the car is going to break again, so seriously need to be looking at how much I can afford for a new one (new to me, not new new). Realistically it'll be a cheap runaround but just so long as it runs I'm not too bothered. Probably £500 max which is where the difficulty will be. We shall see though.
Got some absolute bargain reduced bits and bobs this week foodwise so will be veggie pizza for tea (one of the massive asda ones, reduced to 60p and it's my favourite one) and a nice bottle of rose spritzer (reduced to £1.50 in m&s) as yes, I'm back on the booze. Not so much as before though, I think I've cracked that one. The freezer is full of things with yellow stickers on so will be living off that this week I think. Did get a voucher for tesco through Valued Opinions this week so that will do for essentials.
I find myself looking forward to the beginning of the month when all the Direct debits go out so I can see all the balances go down. Sad, aren't I!0 -
Haven't posted for ages, am just glad to have made it to payday, it's been an expensive months with leaving do's at work, a couple of previously planned weekends away, and just general rubbishness.
Am feeling very down on myself due to complete lack of fitness and overweightness. I know I need to do something about it but don't know what. I'd love to go jogging but I don't even know where to start. I also need to cut down on the alcohol intake again as that has slowly crept up (she says sat here drinking a glass of wine).
Also have let the NSDs slip, and have been popping into asda for tea which is not a good idea. So, yet another new start is on the way.
At least the debt is going down a bit, although the car is definitely on its way out so I need to factor that into my thinking.0 -
3 NSDs this week, out tomorrow with work though on yet another leaving do (no one ever stays long in this line of work).
Car is looking increasingly bad. Just hope I can get it through the next few months.
It's been an insane week at work, and I'm sure next week will be even busier. Ah well, I still love it (I must be mad).
Diet... well the willpower lasts all day, and then I get home from work and eat. Need to be doing something different in the evening.0 -
Well I stuck to budget last night, and it was a good night too. Sore head this morning though! Well not so much a sore head as an intense thirst and hunger, I suppose I'll be eating crap all day but I don't mind that so much. Not great for the diet though. Ah well.
Today will mostly be washing, ironing, and surveys. Already done two on pureprofile, which was £3 in total, and a couple of little ones on globaltestmarket so only need another 300 points with them for another payout.
Am debating whether to leave the house today or not, leaning towards not as then it can be a NSD.0 -
Wel I can see from your light being on that you've not given in to the temptation to go out. Good for you! Well done on sticking to your budget on your night out last night too.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for your car fighting on for a bit longer, at least until you can get a bit behind you to buy a replacement anyway.
I know what you mean about loving your job in spite of it being a bit manic most of the time - I'm the same, although there are times I have to ask myself why exactly I DO love it after yet another stressy day! In fairness though that's more other people's stress rubbing off on me making it worse I think.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ah yes, prevarication, an art which I am worryingly good at. Anyway, you're STILL on here - go and do the washing!!! :rotfl:🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

So the washing and ironing got done eventually. And three bags of stuff went to the charity shop so the decluttering has started. Maybe things are on the up after all (although I swear the car has a sense of humour, one fault disappears and another one starts)
And even better, debts are now sub £9000. 6 payments left on the egg loan now, can't wait for that to finish.0 -
another week, another car problem. Ugh.
Have also discovered the lloyds loan finishes in December. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, however dim and distant that may be.
OH is being his better than his usual self. Slightly less numptified than usual and doing loads of overtime. Although he does keep saying "next pay day I'll give you some money" and it never happens. Ah well. Just so long as he keeps paying everything he is supposed to.0 -
Lovely egg emailed me today to inform me that they have "reviewed" my credit card and would like to offer me a non-optional interest rate increase to 26.9%. Well that, or the option of closing the account and paying off the balance at the current rate with at least minimum monthly payments. So as I haven't spent on the card since Christmas I have gone for option b, closing the account. Have been paying more than minimum for the last few months anyway, so I guess as much as anything it's just ensuring that I can't use the card again.0
