  • Feeling well and truly rubbish today, cold has hit with a vengeance, so I'm not leaving the house. At least that'll make for an impromptu NSD! Am on the second load of washing, contemplating whether or not to have a sort out of the wardrobe. Can't face ironing yet though, will wait until Come Dine With Me is on later.

Won £10 on BB again, I don't usually have this much luck!

Treat yourself to a 'nothing' day - this is not the time for a big wardrobe clearout

You haven't seen my wardrobe! :rotfl: It's disgraceful. I actually find sorting out clothes pretty un-stressful, cos usually I've forgotten about half of what's in there so it can be a nice surprise. Doubt I'll find anything worth ebaying (it's free listing day today isn't it?) but you never know...
  • Another £10 won on BB, and managed to put off a trip to tesco, so just need to nip to the corner shop for bread for tomorrows work butties.
I have a weird logic when it comes to food shopping. Each week I try to put it off by another day, so instead of going shopping every monday, one week it'll be monday, the next week Tuesday, the next week Wednesday, etc etc, and then over the space of 7 weeks I've saved myself a week's shopping. Does that make any sense?
Off now to put some mince and lentils in the slow cooker, should get plenty of portions of lasagne and shepherd's pie out of that.

Hi Tiny, yes putting off going to the Tescos is always a good idea, there's always something in the cupboards/freezer to eat if you look hard enough. I've been doing this a lot recently too and it not only saves money, I find I'm buying fewer naughty convenience foods that I'd shove in my face as soon as I got home
  • Did the Tesco shop today, £18 which included a tin of Roses for work, a load of whoopsied veg and NO WINE!!! Quite an achievement for me is that.
Will someone please kick me up the arris and tell me to sort out claiming my mileage at work, because I keep forgetting to write it down.

  • Been a good week this week. Not moneysaving wise so much, but just nice.
Took the dress I got last week back to new look and got a cardigan instead (much more sensible). Also did my first ever rubber chicken in the slow cooker. Now I'm not getting as many meals out of it as some people do but it's not so bad!
£6 won on BB today, and £5 on Butlins scratchcard yesterday. Also had a £2 survey on valued opinions so as soon as that comes through I'm up to another tenner with them, which will hopefully arrive in the form of a tesco voucher in time for Christmas.
Went out last night and only spend £10 between me and OH which was good. £5 of that was chippy which is not so good! Also got Peter Kay tickets this morning for us and some friends, they're popping over later to give me the money (already) and the tickets will be OH's Christmas present.
Am now going to sit and catch up on everyone's diaries, and have a look on boots.com for best friend's Xmas pressie.
