I sell quite a few of our old baby clothes and toys so I like to make it so that the listing ends at about 10pm as then buyer's kids are in bed and parents are more likely to be on the internet. I start most things off at 99p unless I really want a certain price for it and then I'll start it off at that. Only takes one bid then

I've had things end on most days and don't really notice much difference but I try to let the auction run over a weekend as then more people are likely to be on ebay.0 -
Good Morning!
Paid my daily £1 first thing - that's a total of £24 since I first started. Only another 977 days and I'll be debt free!
I have also decided to focus on healthy eating. As a family we don't do too badly but there is room for improvement. I do cook mostly from scratch but find if I'm unorganised I tend to buy prepared meals from the supermarkets. So my pledge for November is not to buy/eat any convenience foods. We also drink more wine than we probably should, so other than the weekends, I won't be touching a drop!
This month, I'm also looking to make £100 from Ebay that I can put towards my TCC - Novagirl has inspired me to give it a go! By my calculations, assuming I only make £1 per item, I will need to list around 4 items per day to make the target. I'm on annual leave today so will definately list todays 4.
Here we go........0 -
Doing really well today!
Have sorted my pile of paperwork, made a batch of bolognese and finished a load of washing - I'll need a lie down soon if I carry on at this pace.
This afternoon I'm going to take DD into town so we can but our family Christmas cards I'm hoping to write all my cards next weekend as the remainder of November is pretty busy and I'd like to get them posted on 1st December.
This evening I'm going to list 4 items on Ebay.0 -
Good luck with your ebaying!0

Had a great day yesterday - managed to put together a few lists - one for November and one for this week. Also took a look at Flylady as I always seem to be on the back foot with 2 children and a full time job. Altered a few things that I tended to leave for the mornings which resulted in a mad panic, so I feel really organised today!
Just paid my daily £1. Realised yesterday that a 12 month savings plan I signed up for last year had finished. It was only for £30 per month, but with the interest, it "matured" at approx £400. I have now closed the account and the money is being transferred to my main account and should hit there in about 7-10 days. It'll then be chucked straight onto my TCC - so although I'm on a tight budget for November, it will still mean that I am able to pay a substatial amount off my card and bring me closer to clearing by 18th January 2010!
I have to try harder with Ebay though! I only managed to post 2 items last night (it takes so long!). Am going to try harder this evening and not go to bed until I have managed 4!
Have a good day!0 -
Massively busy day today! I am so exhausted and haven't got the energy or inclination to upload my items onto Ebay - I am failing miserably at this! To make things worse, the 2 items I posted last night haven't even been viewed! I must get a grip!
However, every cloud has a silver lining and as I took sandwiches to work today, I have paid £3 towards the TCC - every little helps and the balance is moving in the right direction!0 -
Another £1 paid towards TCC. Paying my daily amounts, although rather small (!) is really motivating me. It has become a routine that as soon as I get up, I log on, pay my £1 and then update my diary. So by the time I set off for work I've already achieved something which is such a positive feeling. Maybe I'm easy to please but it has affected my outlook on finally getting to squash my debts!
So the BIG challenge for me today is to list 4 items on Ebay - I am already behind my target for the month, but will have a catch up on the weekend. DH is working away tonight so I'll have some peace and quiet to concentrate once the children are in bed.
The healthy eating is going well - making small changes that will make a big difference. And I have kept of the wine this week - not touched a drop (and to be perfectly honest, I'm not missing it either!).
Have a good day .....0 -
I'm really pleased that you're keeping up with the daily £1s.
I've done mine just now and my scratch cards and a couple of daily clicks. Plan on using any cashback site money to pay off the cards too
Do you use cashback sites when shopping online? If not, that'll be something to look into aswell for you.
I'll be checking up on you later for your ebaying

Hi,
Havnt posted for a while as I have not been keeping up with my payments:mad:. This month has turned out to be a really tight month for me and I have defo underestimated my budget.
diva - I know how you feel about e-bay, it all seems such a hassle but when you see that money build up in your account it will be worth it. I had some success over the summer and managed to make about £300 but it became like a second job in the end, and inbetween being on mse and checking my bids every 2 minutes i was never off the computer! keep going though it will be worth it!
speak soon...cc & o/d debts 4/2/11 - 12209.
total joint debts 4/2/11 - 25877.0 -
Afternoon everyone. I've been busy preparing for a Christmas Bazaar that'll be happening in a month so it's been quite an expensive afternoon but at least i'll be getting the money back eventually. (Well, fingers crossed if it sells!)
I'm going to be raising money for a charity so hopefully it should all go and at least if i'm running a stall I won't be wandering around buying stuff!
