  • Morning!

    £1 has been paid!

Novagirl - pleased you are managing your daily £1s. I also shop online using cashback sites, especially around Christmas time! What charity are you raising money for at the bazaar? What do you sell at your stall? I think it's good to "give something back", be it through raising money, giving up your time etc.

My big confession is that I am well behind on the Ebaying! I think I've over committed to loading bits and pieces during the week. By the time I finish work, make the tea, bath the chidren, put them to bed and get ready for the next day, I'm whacked! I'm going to spend Saturday listing instead!

Bad Penny - November is a tight month for me too, I get paid on 20th but think I'll run out of money early next week. I guess the main thing is that we are still on track and focussing on our debts. Still join us even if you haven't paid your daily £1 - it's the support that's the important thing.

    Have a good day....

I can see how you can get behind with the ebaying..so many other things to do but you'll get there :)

Raising money for British Heart Foundation as my Grandma died on Christmas Day due to heart problems. I'm going to have a little craft stall so will sell some home-made bits and bobs. I've made some Christmas stockings and going to put some sweets in a jar.
Reindeer Droppings ~ aka chocolate raisins
    Bah Humbug ~ humbugs
    Christmas Kisses ~ jelly lips

Will post a pic when the supplies come and I've made up a few. Only meant to be cheap stocking fillers but hope they sell :)
  • Hi

Novagirl, that's a really worthwhile cause. From tomorrow, instead of paying my £1 towards TCC, I'll save £2 for 5 days and send a cheque to the British Heart Foundation in support of your fund raising. Can't wait to see the pics, hope you sell lots!

I've paid my £1 for today. Also received the money from the savings account I closed, so immediately sent a payment to TCC - didn't allow the money to sit in my account incase I was tempted to fritter away, especially as it's so close to Christmas! It's meant that I've been able to pay a substantial amount off the TCC even though I am skint this month!

    I'm so glad it's Friday.....
  • Morning!

It's such a lovely day today - although it's rained overnight the sun is now shining. I'm going to try and have a low spend weekend - I'll be taking the children out this afternoon but not looking to spend any more than £10. Apart from that I'm going to do my weekly chores which will include the washing and getting ready for the week ahead.

I haven't paid my £1 towards my credit card as I'm setting £2 aside until I have £10 to send to the British Heart Foundation.

    Have a great day everyone.....

NoDebtDiva, you are so lovely! That is very generous of you for the Charity as I know that you have bills to pay and £1s to pay daily.

Good Karma coming yor way I'm sure :) x
  • I've just set aside my £2.

Had a relatively low spend day yesterday and if poss am hoping for a NO SPEND day today! I've just made bread (well loaded the ingedients into the breadmaker!) and I'm going to spend the morning getting organised for the week. I'm going to make a beef curry and a chilli so we'll have all our dinners prepared. I'm up to date with the washing and have put together my plan for the week.

Later today I'm going to list some items on Ebay and start writing my Christmas cards! This year I've promised myself that I'll be organised on the cards front - usually it's a mad rush to meet the last posting date! I have a busy December coming up so will try and have them all written and ready to post the first week in December.

I haven't got much Christmas shopping left to do and DH and I are planning on finishing that the last weekend in November.

Novagirl - it's my pleasure! I think it's good to have an attitude of gratitude and I'm grateful that my family have their health.

Haven't heard from Badpenny all week - hope all is well.

Have a great Sunday everyone xx

Good luck on your NSD! You're very organised with the Christmas cards. I've done all my Christmas shopping during the year so that just leaves me to frantically wrap them all now on Christmas Eve usually.

Will hunt out some cards so won't go buying anymore like I sometimes end up doing.
  • Achieved a NSD day yesterday and also found £4 while sorting out some old clothes - so that's gone straight to TCC!

Saved my daily £2 for the British Heart Foundation.

A busy week in work this week, but I'm all set up with my dinners and my list of things to do!

    Have a happy Monday x

A holiday day for me but I've made a list of 20 things to do today so that should get me going rather than just sitting around watching TV.

Hope your Monday goes well and it's not too busy for you. Love finding money about the house, well done for paying it straight off your card though before it gets frittered away :) x
  • Hi

Novagirl - did you manage to get through your list of 20? Hope you enjoyed your day off.

My Monday hasn't been too bad and the good thing is I'm a step closer to Friday! I didn't manage a NSD today - I fell off the wagon and decided I couldn't resist and needed a can of coke.

I'm also building myself up to go for a swim on both Wednesday and Thursday this week........... not sure whether that will happen but I'm going to try my best.
