Ooh loving the idea of putting shoes on ebay. I've got a couple of pairs that I could do, I'm just too lazy to do it.... must stop being lazy!!!
Loving the idea of a £1 a day, I'm so gonna do that. xxNo more spending hard - Time for the scrimping!0 -
They're up to £13.50! They were under a fiver when they were new. Will be checking up on you Ms Sparkle over the weekend to see how you're getting on with the ebaying.0

Im gonna buy some cheepo slippers over the weekend and wear them round the house for a bit then list them and see what happens....... i'm serious.... thanks for your support on overdraft situation, don't think i'll be able to squirrel a fiver a day away tho i've got a really tight budget this month and i'm worried about making my £1 per day if i'm honest but am really gonna try. just checked on line acount and as well as paying my £1 i also rounded it down to the nearest pound so have paid 1.66 to halifax today. oh has just asked if i,m havin an affair as i'm spending so much time on lap-top:rotfl:cc & o/d debts 4/2/11 - 12209.

LOL @ the cheap slippers idea! Great work.
You imagine what your OH will think when you post off some skanky slippers!LOL
Oooh, hope you do the free scratchcards everyday too. Doesn't make a fortune but it'll add up

Hi Everyone,
Novagirl, I cannot believe that you are getting so much for a pair of slippers!! Are they gold encrusted or something?! How do I go about doing the free scratchcards?
Badpenny, sounds so glamorous having a "DFW" affair! Your OH will benefit from the time you spend posting - imagine being debt free and able to spend on the things you want because you can afford to rather than paying back an overdraft or credit cards. BTW, I have been watching footage from our family holiday in the summer (first chance to view since we've been back). I will definately be swimming on Monday - I cannot believe I looked so podgy on my hols - and that's after losing some weight from the seminar! I'm horrified
Ms Sparkle - I'm with you - I am so lazy when it comes to listing on Ebay! I have so much stuff I'd like to get rid of so am going to make a conscious effort over the next few weeks.0 -

Little thread to help you with the free scratch cards.

Thanks Novagirl - I'll join one tonight when the kiddies are in bed!
Just paid my £1. I'm going to have a relatively no spend day today. I need to pick up some food supplies for the week, but am going to limit the amount I spend. The weather is lovely, cold but sunny. I think I'm going to pop DS in his pram and go for a walk - as DD won't be in a pram this will hopefully wear her out for a good nights sleep tonight :rotfl:
I've also started putting a weekly "To Do" list together, with quick wins e.g. pay my daily £1 to the more boring routine jobs. Seemed to work quite well for me last week, so I'm going to update again for this week.
Have a great day everyone!0 -
diva - don't forget the camera adds 10 pounds!!! - hope you enjoyed your walk, walking is by far my favorite type of exersise and is great for toning all those problem areas if you combine a daily 30 min walk with drinking lots of water it will do wonders for your cellulite. (i am working on the assumption that all women like me, have cellulite!)
I do love a list especially putting a line through all the things you have achieved. why don't you post your list on here and it may provide some much needed insperation for me.
have a good weekend everyone.cc & o/d debts 4/2/11 - 12209.

and me! I'm a list maker too but never seem to be able to cross off everything on one list before I start making another.0

Never ask about the slippers - or what the end user wants them for - best not to know.
Just a thought about your 1,000 day challenge - how about getting yourself a (nice, if you can find one) 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle? You could then either piece it together over a few days/weeks, or, if you've got a space and the patience to do it, get it started and just do a piece a day. It might help to have it as a way of representing just what you're doing - each £1 on its own won't seem like much, but it won't be long before you begin to build up some kind of a 'picture' and begin to feel as if you're really making progress - and on days when you add an extra quid or two, well, you can do an extra piece or two!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0
