Paid my £1 too today. Glad you're sticking to making your own sandwiches...those £3s every day will soon beat your debts.

Looking forward to payday next week but my current account will take a beating this week when the mortgage goes out...argh!
  • Didn't manage a NSD today as I was so tired we ended up having chip shop chips - yum!

Well done novagirl on paying your £1 - we're nearer being debt free.... shame about the mortagage but I'm sure we'll be hitting that hard once the other debts have been cleared :rotfl:

£3 towards TCC - every little helps (especially when it's going towards a TCC !!).
  • Just paid my £1 to halifax. cant wait untill i start seeing all these £1's adding up on my next statement. Have also realised that i may have over-budgeted this month as i have my car insurance and house insurance due to come out off my account on friday which is also when i get paid again so could be a potential extra 65 quid still in my account when i get paid again. god i hope so as i really need to start getting rid of my overdraft as halifax are changing the way they charge in dec and are going to be chargin £1 per day for each day you use your overdraft which is going to mean about £14 per month for me. sorry to ramble on. you are both doing really well with your additional payments.
    cc & o/d debts 4/2/11 - 12209.
    total joint debts 4/2/11 - 25877.
  • Evening Badpenny! Fingers crossed you're £65 up on Friday. Overdrafts are a nightmare eh? Can't even begin to think about mine until the TCC is cleared. Thanks for your support...

Gosh I often wonder why I got myself into a mess.... but it could be worse and at least I'm learning from this and will never make the same mistakes again.

Had to take my kiddies for new shoes today - 1 pair for 18 mth, 1 pair for 4 year old plus trainers for 4 year old - not much change out of £80  Wouldn't mind if they were Jimmy Choos but Clark's?????!!!

Just wish my fairy godmother would spring up some ideas to generate more dosh!!

Evening you two! Glad to see you both doing so well. Really proud of you :)
I've just put my old work shoes on ebay as my mum's old slippers are making just under a tenner now
  • OMG I am so going to get my act together for Ebay - I have loads to sell. Will focus on the first 10 items this weekend!

Well done novagirl - we're all on our way xx

You definitely should get going. As the weather is getting worse outside, more poeple are spending their time on the internet. You can gladly swap your unwanted items for a little bit of extra cash :D
  • Nova girl - a TENNER for some smelly slippers:rotfl:

Yep..LOL Couldn't believe it but hey, if it'll make them happy! They were only heading for the bin so I'm thinking of it as a bit of recycling too. See, never throw your slippers away. Have got a few messages asking for photos of them being worn ...that's a little bit too far even for me...but think of how much they could go to. Did a little research and some old shoes went for £45!

I challenge you both to find a pair of old shoes now :D:D lol xx
  • Morning! Just transferred my daily £1!! Also added £81 pounds which now takes me passed the £900 mark of paying extra towards my TCC. Under £4K left now

I am definately going to seek out an old pair of shoes today and get them loaded onto Ebay - do you post for 7 or 10 days? Mad!
