I would advise the teachers that you will be contacting the police to report a sexual assault if they do not take the matter seriously (and do so!)
Obviously they may not be able to find out who actually did it if the stairs were very crowded but their attitude stinks!

there is no excuse for them not sorting it out alot sooner,i would go in and say if it is not resolved asap tell them you are reporting it to the police,it is a form of sexual assult and if the school wont sort it the police will.im sure even if you just mentioned the police it would be resolved almost immediately

They can't resolve it though without knowing who it was and I fully understand that.

Nothing can be done, but they should have informed me all the way until we were all happy with the situation.

School just rang the landline (I have caller display), it rang 3 times then went off as soon as I picked the phone up. What the hell is that all about?!

No message left on the landline and they have my mobile number too because HOL confirmed it with me before!

Even if they dont know who did it, they should perhaps talk to the year in general about inappropriate touching and hammer home that it is wrong and there will be severe consequences if anything like that happens. Atleast then they have done something about it and your DD will hopefully feel like shes being taken seriously.

I would also write everything down with dates and times in the form of a formal letter to give to the head teacher as their inaction simply isnt good enough.

Who cares about the bag? I mean, on the scale of things, a bag?!?

Why on earth haven't you gone in to the school and demanded a meeting with the head of year? You need to do this, please, and you need to record the conversation. I only know this because a girl at my school had this happen to her. Why are the police not involved? I do not understand how you are relying on the school to contact you, please please please take the intitive and have an "informal" chat with the police if needs be.

"Nice boys" often to nasty things, what the teacher thinks they see and what is really going on is often poles apart. How do you not know that this male teacher is not friends with the "nice boys" parents etc?

Sorry to rant on but schools have protocol to follow and as the parents you aught to go in and get a copy of this protocol.

So, you need to see the HOY, Head Master, Head Gov, Police.

Well the "two nice boys" will know who has done it then they won't be as nice. The dirty little punks, I'd give them what for me! The dirty little perverts, I'd break their fingers.

be very carefull when you deal with the school and remember they will do everything they can to safeguard their good reputation - they may try to 'play down' the incident or make it seem trivial so that you don't involve police/govenors etc. Unfortunately I have experience of something similar - my autistic DS was so badly beaten up at school that I had to collect him from school and take him to A&E - the school tried to down play what had happened but I involved the police who dealt with it really well , the school managed to record over the CCTV footage of the attack before the police could see it!!! I had always had a really good relationship with the school and felt so let down by them but I realise now that nothing is as important as their good reputation to them, It is up to you to stick up for your DD - don't rely on the school.
