Shellsuit - thats awful! Poor DD!
Would it be possible to ask the school to take statements from the two year ten boys? if they were behind her they might have seen someone if it wasnt them? If the HOY seems to be looking at it as something so minor do you think you could arrange a face to face meeting with them?
Sometimes a phone call just doesnt drum it home?
As for the bag - do you think they contacted you more because DD was upset? Because HOY had DD in front of her and her memory was jogged (i know teachers have a mental work load and it may be that she hasnt been persuing things as she should have but when faced with your upset DD then she realised she hadnt done anything? Not an excuse for her at all, but a suggestion) or do you think it was becuase she wanted to follow up on the bag?
I agree its mental for her to ring about that and not about the much more serious case!
I hope something i have said is useful, even if its just sending a Hug to you and DD (and im shaking my fist at the school for you)

I can see why you're angry - it appears that they think damage to a thing (the bag) is worse than some creepy little horror groping your daughter!
I think, however, that it's the proof thing that's making the episode with the bag easier to sort out. There's no way of telling who grabbed your daughter and no amount of talking, ranting or investigation will prove whom either (unless the creep owns up ). The teacher could've shown a little more empathy for your DD, and maybe they wouldn't have called if the bag didn't break, but I don't see that they could've actually DONE more about the bum-grabbing without proof.....no-one wants to brand an innocent lad a sex-pest!0 -
Don't they have cctv in schools now? I'm sure they do ask to see the cctv, Schools are just !!!!!! now they do bugg er all!!

That's awful, poor DD, no wonder you're angry. I don't know what to suggest, maybe you could write a letter to the school and explain again what the male teacher said and what your DD had told you. I don't know what they can do if they don't know who it was but they shouldn't be fobbing you off and telling you that it was someone brushing against her.0

Oh No, I know that and so does DD. It's just they haven't got back to me when they said they would, haven't told me until today that they questioned 2 boys, basically haven't told me anything at all.
I know lads will grab girls bums, they used to do it when I was at school but we'd just tell them to bog off, but with DD being upset over it, I thought they would have kept me in the know.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Don't think so Steph, the area was crowded anyway so even if they did, they probably wouldn't know who it was xThat's awful, poor DD, no wonder you're angry. Well that's it, it's the fobbing off. Just because they don't know who it was doesn't mean they can't follow procedures and let me know what's happening about it.
Even if they had got back to me last week like they said they would and said we're sorry but without knowing who it was we can't do anything about it. Just showing that they cared would have been enough.
If they just did that, I wouldn't be furious right now.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
I'd go down there Shell, I really would.
Ask to speak to the H.O.Y. Face to face. You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

That's an awful thing to happen
It sounds as though it was one of the two 'lovely' lads walking behind her but in all likelihood you'll never get an admission out of them, and it sounds as though the teachers will stick up for them no matter what. Because there was no evidence as well it'll be difficult to accuse them just in case they didn't do anything, maybe try to get the school to arrange an interview with the two lads in seperate rooms, maybe they'll remember who else was around at the time or accidentally trip up and say something about it, or give some information which they wouldn't if the other lad was in the room with them? It sounds to me as if the school is just trying to brush the incident off, obviously it's better for them to say someone accidentally brushed into her than to admit a bad thing has happened at the school. Whatever you do, keep pestering them, because otherwise they'll think that if they ignore you then it'll all blow over. Could you get the Board of Govenors involved and say you're unhappy with the way it was handled, and the lack of communication with the school?
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0 -

I'll have to won't I otherwise it'll just keep eating away and I've got 5 years before DD can leave school lolClaire_Bear wrote: »That's an awful thing to happenIt sounds as though it was one of the two 'lovely' lads walking behind her but in all likelihood you'll never get an admission out of them, and it sounds as though the teachers will stick up for them no matter what. Not sure about the board of governors, OH mentioned that to me, but i think it best to speak to someone at a meeting first before going that far.
I've just lost all faith with the school now. They make it sound soooooo wonderful, they win awards for lots of things and their stats are fantastic.
Stats are probably the only thing they bloody care about because it sure looks that way to me now.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
