XP Update issues

When the installation stops and asks you for a disc, does it ask you for a specific file?

Yeah tried that and they failed, don't know what else to do now

You need to download OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-enu.exe from here and run it.

no, you need to download the full file i.e. the larger download (the bottom one) as you don't have access to the installation media.

Hopefully that should work, as the update which comes through Microsoft update will probably be the client update i.e. the one which requires the installation CD.

Like I said: OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-enu.exe is the one you need.

Yes
C:\program files\microsoft office\office 10\1033\setup.HLP
