XP Update issues

  • If you go into Windows or Microsoft update through the start menu, and scan for all recommend updates, and this particular update is there, it will have a description underneath it. It should also give a KB....... code. Can you tell us if it is the same one as listed above?

  • Ok, it sounds like it is trying to update a feature within Office that either wasn't installed on your computer, or has become corrupted. Do you have any recovery disks with your computer?

    But it appears to be service pack 3 for Office XP, not Windows XP that is causing the problems. Does the OP not already have Windows XP SP3?

    Ok,

    Done the start, help & support windows update and high priority update is Office XP service pack 3 if I then try and install this it fails
