If you subscribed to a thread by posting on it before changing the setting back in your profile then you won't get a tick unless you either post again on the thread or go into the thread and manually subscribe to it.

Hi, Ive tried to go through this thread, but im getting lost in it all.

Can someone help please, I just want to set it up so if I post on a thread it automatically adds it to my subscribed list.

Dont need anything fancy like email notification, just plain and simple add to subscribe list automatically, can that be done, or do we have to do this manually for every new thread we join?

In the 'edit options' there is not an option to subscribe, so I dont know where to do it.

its in the user cp under the edit options, scroll down slightly and its there in the section 'messaging and notification'

It should be there in 'Edit Options', as hjb said. You should see what fermi posted in post 115.
If you don't see it, maybe you need to expand that section. Each section ('Login & Privacy', 'Messaging & Notification', etc..) can be reduced or expanded: there's a little blue square with two 'up arrows' inside a circle in the top right-hand corner of the section.
If none of that works, you could try messaging one of the board guides, or 'MSE Webmaster' who I'm sure will be able to help you.
