I agree, they may even suggest the police on the hard drive pinching alone... again if you can get anything in writing it should be more than enough rope to hang him by
he says i have 80gb hard drive but it is cracked because it must have been dropped therefore showing less gbI am determined to lose weight!:kisses3:
Weight loss so far 2 stones 6lbs!! :j:j0 -
Not necessarily a downgrade - the focus of recent processor architectures has been on efficiency rather than raw speed; the Athlon XP is several generations behind Intel Core and was roughly equivalent to a Pentium 4.Money_Grabber13579 wrote: »AMD 2800+ processor (downgrade to 1.80Ghz)
It's possible they just got their hard drives mixed up.0 -

Yep, but if you imagine a hard disk like a fat CD; if you crack a bit off it, the hard drive (or CD) isn't going to work after that. It's not like the hard drive is divided up into squares and you've just managed to break off 72 squares of it.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -

But that processor is already very old.
And allegedly they didn't touch the hard drive, so there shouldn't be a mix up.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
Firstly, according to Wikipedia the Celeron 430 was released in 2007. Secondly, when the computer was first taken in they might have taken it apart to isolate the problem.Money_Grabber13579 wrote: »But that processor is already very old.

(To figure out what's broken in a PC, you replace each part until the problem goes away)0 -
Ok, looking around on Google, if they've also replaced the motherboard, that might be why there is a problem with your hard drive. It seems to be a fault with the BIOS: does that make sense to anyone? lolNorthern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

So are you actually saying he has upgraded the processor by going from a Athlon 2800+ so a Celeron 1.8GhZ?0 -

It is possible they are almost equivalent because I do know that AMD measure speed in a different way to Intel. But why not replace it with another AMD processor?Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -

I worked for a hard drive company. That is physically impossible. They are lying through their teeth.
If they did not replace the hard drive, why are you having to re-install all your software? It should have been there from the original install. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
