Mobiles.co.uk - deliberately misleading advert?

I sympathise. Not much I can say that I haven't said a long time ago - stories like yours are increasingly common, just as I expected when I began my warnings about this company. They appear to have now deleted all reference to any telephone numbers from their website - probably because that's their usual response to public protest about their appalling "service"; i.e. make it impossible to use rather than solve the problem. Their responses have usually been to mislead and divert attention in an attempt to portray a positive image which (unfortunately) is increasingly rare in actuality. However, it has fooled some, so by their apparent standards that will be a success.0

Speaks volumes for CARPHONE WAREHOUSE / MOBILES.CO.UK when their representitive is sneaking on here but does not bother to help a customer.
ANYONE from CARPHONE WAREHOUSE willing to help "-overkill" ?
Dare I say it some of the reps from the mobile phone companies should take note of this thread and see how well duped was a customer taking out a contract with mobiles.co.uk.0 -

I really despair of you, OneADAy, and you too, Silk. It is obvious that Ben has signed off to answer the backlog of emails that the customer services team are struggling with.
But perhaps they can catch up now that the postal workers are on strike and the cashback claims are piled up at 9 Elms or wherever.:question:0 -
Here's what they've said now . . .
"We will not be compensating for for something that is clearly stated on the website" :rotfl:
I know I should have just sent it back but to be honest I didnt trust them to cancel the contract (which they refuse to do anyway) and for me to be stuck paying for it and not even have the phone.0 -
I think your best course of action is to make a formal written complaint to Orange. They have made sympathetic noises but should they truly intervene Mobiles.co.uk would stop playing games and actually be forced into behaving (for once) like a decent company. !!!!!-footing around with this dealer is likely to get you no-where (as you have found). hopefully others won't wait to cancel a contract - that was the biggest mistake. If you send it back and prove they received it within the prescribed timescale you have a proveable and clear case. You still have providing you can prove you were mislead and they didn't respond in a reasonable time for you to cancel.0
