Pleased to hear that you have had some success kenbury. How long are the vouchers now valid for?
I took out my Insurance with Hastings Direct in September, and despite a letter, four e-mails and several phone calls I am still waiting .....0 -
It says on the voucher "Purchases must have been made between 01.01.2010 and 31.08.2010"
Dont give up. When I emailed I just did it from Hastings Direct website.
Good Luck0 -
Still haven't got my vouchers
:( Although, I have I have had £55 validated at long, long last after submitting earnings enquiry with quidco.

OK, so I did receive my vouchers just before the end of February but was confused by the T&Cs that I emailed Leapfrog for some clarification. Here is the timeline, I want to know if anyone thinks I have reason to complain direct to Hastings:
15 Feb I email Leapfrog
16 Feb Get holding reply saying will investigate query and contact me in a week
21 March No email from leapfrog so query again (I know I waited too long but I'm a patient girl!)
22 March Get reply stating sorry but other person left, requests Postcode
22 March Give details requested and ask why first person didn't request this info as query now delayed even more
25 March Receive full reply which tells me need receipt for Feb, Mar and April but didn't get one for Feb as was awaiting reply to queries, I guess in retrospect I should have bought some petrol just in case but didn't
Last reply received is as follows
"Apologies Chris Gannon did not ask you to supply your full postal address, unfortunately he is no longer with us. However, if you have collected 3 receipts from Feb, March and April, please ensure you post them altogether between the 1st and 14th May. As the closing date is April, customers can send the vouchers in the beginning of May.
You have only received your vouchers now as the offer only started in January.
Kind regards,
Hastings Customer Services"
So should I take it further do you think or just accept I've missed out?"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
I was supposed to get an MOT voucher last year when I signed up with them. They said it would be sent out when my MOT was due to be done.
Never got it so rang afterwards and asked why and they said it was a mistake and they'll send me one. Eventually it did arrive."A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on" - Winston Churchill0 -
Like so many others after choosing Hastings Direct for my father-in-laws renewal in December waited patiently for the vouchers. Nothing arrived. I found this thread and emailed them approx 4 weeks ago. To my astonishment my f-i-l received a £5 cheque within a few days and they said the vouchers would follow.
Well today they have arrived!!!!! I was worried about the deadline for sending in vouchers and receipts but as I see it they have extended the dates so fingers crossed if he collects 3 receipts and we send them off we will see what happens.
Now to start chasing the £55 from Quidco.
In the long run Hastings Direct are the losers. A few weeks ago I had to buy insurance for my car and wouldnt even consider ever using Hastings Direct.
Good luck to everyone else who is still chasing them."A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on" - Winston Churchill0 -
Argh!!:mad: The g1ts sent me my vouchers...on the 29th March...two days before I was allowed to call up Hastings Direct to request a £30 cheque...:( Now after months of waiting for the damn things and making phone calls, sending letters I have to faff about with receipts.
Also, did anybody else think that 'vouchers' meant a piece of paper you could use to pay for fuel, rather than reimbursement of fuel already purchased??

I have received nothing other than a cheque for a £5 and a two letters to say my complaint is being investigated which seems to be meaningless waffle from this company.
When I took the policy out I have to admit I thought it would be vouchers although after all this time (Sept) I would be happy with anything.
It has taught me never to consider Hastings Direct for any other policy I just hope I dont have a bump in the car. The hassle of getting it sorted through these people would be seriously frustrating if this is a example of their efficiency"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Phew finally received the vouchers. They certainly don't want you to claim reading all the terms.
The vouchers cant be sent in until 1st and 14th of the month after your final receipt. Have to be consecutive months.
Oh well I intend to meet all the criteria, after all the hassle and must remember not to staple the receipts to the claim forms as they cant be damaged in any way !"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
