Mm just read this thread and realised I never received anything from them after I took insurance out in Oct.

I have written to Hasting Direct as my contract is with them.I hope their service is better if ever you have to make a claim !

  • Had a letter yesterday from Hastings yesterday saying there had been problems with some people getting fuel vouchers and should be getting them in next few days. Also, as a gesture of goodwill, they are sending a £5 cheque. We'll wait and see if this materialises.

My vouchers have now finally turned up, but no goodwill gesture for all the chasing I've had to do.

If you are really from Hastings and can speak for them you need MSE permission to post here on their behalf! (Another supposed hastings rep has already posted a similar offer to help - and disappeared!)

(Company reps aren't permitted to use the pm system!)

(Has Mr Shepherd - Hastings "Trading Director" (see post #6) anything to say about this?)

I've had a pm from the above too. I didn't realise they were breaking the MSE rules. Not very impressive all round is it.

  • Well I had a huge issue with them, regarding my mum sending the vouchers back too early and them refusing and keeping the vouchers. She's over 70 and I think the wording on the vouchers is very very confusing.

Anyway, after a little chasing, apparently leapfrog is dragging their heals massively so hastings now have a few fuel vouchers which they can send out personally.

I've been promised that 3 new vouchers have been sent.

Tell ya one thing, i'm gonna handle it for her this time, and I will copy, and double copy everything before I send it back to them, incase they try to screw her again!
  • i have received a letter from hastings with a £5.00 cheque included for numerous telephone calls.

still no vouchurs received. still waiting.

    sick of ringing hastings

    sick of ringing leapfrog

    still a con!!!

Had a mail from Hastings to say they are looking into mine. I wont hold my breath given the other replies on this thread. I wonder if Hastings realise how bad for their reputation this looks

My huddy took out a policy in December, despite numerous calls no voucher, we got the £5 today. As we pay monthly have told them if we don't recieve within 28 days we will not pay the last installment of £30, not expecting this to get us anywhere though.

Whats this about saving receipts though?
