Yeah same sorta situation here, instead we sent the vouchers back a month too early so they refused it.
Although I take issue with the fact they turn you down point blank and don't allow you to try again, and secondly the way the deal is so complicated to get.
Unfortunately I don't think I'm gonna have much luck as we didn't follow the T's&C's of the offer, but it was my mother doing it for her car ,and she's over 70! so I think they should be a little more understanding.
Currently waiting for a callback from Hastings, the guy apparently needed to speak to his boss on monday to get it sorted...not holding my breath0 -

Has anyone attually recieved their £30 of petrol?
I had to phoned Hastings to remind them I had recieved my £30 Petrol Vouchers. When I got them it took me about an hour to complete the claims. I had to fill in each of the 3 vouchers with my Name Address & Insurance details. I had to find 3 petrol reciepts for more than £10 from 3 consecutive months and supply a stamped self addressed envelope. I was sure I had met all the conditions of the claim but it was refused. They refused my claim as it did not arrive within 14 days of the last month of my petrol reciepts. This is dispite my posting it on the 13th of the month.
No second chance no free petrol I feel well ripped off. It seems you have to jump through hoops to apply for your £30 and then they refuse for no reason. Why did it matter if I was a day late I don't understand unless they are looking for any chance not to pay the £30.
I am currently trying to find someone at Hastings to talk too about the claim but it is difficult due to the hoildays.
After contacting Hastings to complain about my refused Petrol Vouchers just before Christmas, I recieved a letter from Hastings on 29th Dec. saying they are looking to my complaint.
I phoned today and Hastings said they are still in the process of looking into my complaint. So I haven't given up yet.0 -
I'm glad you're getting at least some response. When I have a bit of spare time, I will write to them, saying I haven't received any vouchers as well.
The issue is: you shouldn't have to do all this chasing (which is so typical of nearly every company you deal with nowadays). The part of the deal, which may have been the only reason you joined Hastings, was they would give the £30 of fuel vouchers. They have failed to do that or made it so hard to get if you have applied.:mad:0 -
I took out a motor policy with Hastings in November and was told - after phoning them - that the £30 of fuel vouchers that came with it actually came 56 days later, fair enough.
The time passed and I emailed them about it, and was completely ignored. I sent another email and was completely ignored again ! So i phoned them and got the "they're sent by an external company, we'll chase them", again nothing happened. I phoned again, got the same thing and am still waiting. Dreadful customer service. And I've still not got what I'm entitled to. Anyone else suffered in this way ? What should I do now ? Thanks all ! :mad:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you are really from Hastings and can speak for them you need MSE permission to post here on their behalf!
(Has Mr Shepherd - Hastings "Trading Director" (see post #6) anything to say about this?)0 -
