Got the £5 today no vouchers yet..."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Got another letter from HD yesterday saying that due to massive popularity of the voucher scheme they were delayed for some people and should be arriving shortly. We'll wait and see...0

hiya
just an update. I have already received the cheque for £5.00
phoned hastings up and threatened to cancel policy a month early to recompense £30 owed.
they said sorry about all the phone calls and sending another £15.00 cheque out. they said vouchers will be sent out. I said date is going to be expired soon, they said dont worry, they will ask leapfrog to extend date
best numbers to call hastings are
01424 739338 or 01424 738520
seem to get thru quicker
dont give up everyone
why should we be conned into a deal
think leapfrog are the problem, not really hastings
keep trying people!!0 -
Hello
I called up Hastings Direct yesterday and after kicking up a bit of a fuss got through to someone in the Customer Relations department. He said he'd call me back after he'd got in touch with Leapfrog. He did call me back and said my name is on a 're-submitted list' with Leapfrog and they're expecting my vouchers to go out to me in the next couple of weeks. I pointed out that I've been told this on more than one occasion previously and still haven't received them so this situation could go on indefinitely. He said that if they didn't arrive by 31st March, I can call him and he will issue a cheque for £30.
He also had a moan about what a pain these Leapfrog vouchers are...not my problem mate... Do you think I don't have issues in my job?? Surely they have an agreement with Leapfrog, which I would imagine has been broken (and if not was very poorly drawn up..) and Hastings Direct would be seeking compensation from Leapfrog?? Anyway, that's their business...I just want my vouchers!

:rotfl: No I don't, but was worried someone from Hastings Direct might read this and figure out who I am. You're right, I'm hoping the vouchers won't get sent and instead of spending ages filling in forms, finding receipts etc, etc, I can just walk down to the bank with a cheque in my handThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0

I incorrectly posted the following under the "Motoring" section of the forum, but Gwen kindly pointed out that there was already a thread under "Insurance"
"I took out my Insurance with Hastings Direct on 23rd September 2009, and was told that I would receive £30 of fuel vouchers within two months.
It is now nearly six months and despite four phone calls, one letter and three e-mails there is still no sign of them!!
Has anyone on the forum actually received vouchers from this offer?"
I now realise that I am far from the only person who has suffered from the appalling lack of Customer Service from Hastings. Whilst I appreciate that the offer was to be carried out via a Third Party surely this does not exonerate them from responsibility of ensuring that it was correctly and fairly executed!!
I have today received a Bill from BT which shows that my last phone call to Hastings cost £1.19 (so I am already at least £4 out of pocket, and I would be interested to know how other customers received some reimbursement for their calls?0 -

Yes, but I suffered much as you did (see my earlier contribution to this thread). I finally - more by luck than judgment I suspect - had one of my emails to Leapfrog answered, and my vouchers were received the following day (I've still not submitted them due to the regulations, but one step at a time).
Hastings themselves have proved a complete waste of time to me. Use the Leapfrog details for some chance of success.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Like so many others after choosing Hastings Direct for my father-in-laws renewal in December waited patiently for the vouchers. Nothing arrived. I found this thread and emailed them approx 4 weeks ago. To my astonishment my f-i-l received a £5 cheque within a few days and they said the vouchers would follow.
Well today they have arrived!!!!! I was worried about the deadline for sending in vouchers and receipts but as I see it they have extended the dates so fingers crossed if he collects 3 receipts and we send them off we will see what happens.
Now to start chasing the £55 from Quidco.
In the long run Hastings Direct are the losers. A few weeks ago I had to buy insurance for my car and wouldnt even consider ever using Hastings Direct.
Good luck to everyone else who is still chasing them.0
