I like the beginnig of a month, new resolve, new possibilties of targets.
Tonight I very nearly had a piece of yesterdays comfort cake provided by naighbours. I even got a knife out of the drawer. Then I thought of this months target, of you lot, and I put the knife away and went upstairs.
You know what, its 3/4 of an hour ago...and the craving has gone.0 -

I think we all have days like that, but despite being low calorie it might actually hnder things if maintained. (slowing metabolism, just not enough variation in intake/mineral/vitamin intake over a period of days) With weightloss in a group like this we lso have to be aware its not unknown for people, perhaps most commonly women, to become a little competitive: thats how the pro eating disorder sites work I think, and all of us here have some sort of ''issue'' with diet, depite the other problems some of us have. My comment was not critical, merely cautious.0 -
Ive only just found the October thread, lol. Add me dragon. I want to try to beat my 4 lb in September this month.
Lost, I went into a new shop in town to day - a brilliant trendy deli. I walked past the homemade pies, the cheeses, the cakes and bought some free range chipolatas and some free range eggs. I could actually feel saliva rising in my mouth when I looked at the pies and cheeses but I fought it off - kept remembering, a minute on the lips, lifetime on the hips and out I walked with a halo round my head.
I would so love to get half a stone off this month though. It does seem to have slowed down or may be Im eating more or not exercising. But Im so determined to be slim next March for a rather special birthdayand also a special wedding anniversary and we are going to a posh London hotel for the night.
Good luck everyone.0 -

If it's been a day for comfort food and Shreddies does it for you (I love them) no worries, but you know it's not a balanced diet you can keep up for the time it takes to loose weight in a healthy way. 8lbs a month loss maximum.
