Steph, I've had about a million calories today... what have you had?
Hi I had, 1 small bowl 45g of shreddies with semi skimmed milk
I didn't have time for lunch
Then I had 1 small tin of Cream of Chicken soup heinz and 2 slices of brown bread
I was hungry at 8:30
So I had another small bowl 45g of shreddies with semi skimmed milk
I didn't put sugar on them either which I normally do
And I had 3 cups of tea which normally I have about 8 or 9 I drunk 4 pints of water instead.
Today so far I've had
1 small bowl of shreddies 45g with semi skimmed milk
and 2 cups of tea
I'm not feeling hungry yet because I'm drinking the water but might have tinned tomatoes on toast for lunch if I have enough time.

Steph hun - you need to eat more. As soon as you drop your eating to such low levels your body will desperately grab onto them and your metabolism slows. I know we al probably know this (and I'm sure Dragon can wax lyrical about it!) but I also understand that it is tempting to eat as little as possible in order to lose the weight. I've struggled with this for many years but at the end of the day I KNOW I should eat a balanced healthy diet. Try having fruit and veg for snacks as well and you will notice the difference in your weight loss.
And everyone - thanks for your support re 'the chow mein incident'! I've just come back from the gym and I'm feeling much more positive!House saving Targets:

Can they not here you from the kitchen if you shout you are coming but need time? Or can you leave a note to that affect on the door?
Even if you just grab something snacky/piece of fruit to take back to front room. If holding while using mobilty aids is an issue (been there myself) put snacky food in carrier back to swing off stick/walker.0 -

I think this is part of the challenge that will face us, for...well, the rest of our lives. We have to learn to budget out calories (or however you are losing weight) by careful eating and/or exercise to deal with this at every event otherwise the weight will just creep back on. There is no hrm in a piece of cake once in a whille ...but the cake and more cake we have to forgo I think. Life doesn't stop, now while we on our weightloss diets, or after wards while we are maintaining, so we have to work these things into life.
Luckily you are planning ahead, so youcan think about a good option for food and exercise for the rest of that day/the days surrounding it so that the cake is colorifically budgeted for!
we're having people for supper tonight: I do not want life to stop. I've planned a low fat watercress soup for a starter (thanks to last months soup chat) and a heftier main with a green salad, while others have more main and less salad I expect, I'll be the other way round, then, I shall take with restraint some grapes or an apple from the cheese board, intead of cheese, and I'm bringing out puddings, and start with coffee at the same time, so that people can have one/both/neither...I'll be the neither.:D
The only very slightly bad thing is I remember how much easier this was when I'd have a cigarette instead of pudding, but I don't want to smoke, so feel no actual temptation.
i am really of the very string opinion there will always be something to mke an excuse for and we have to find ways for ourselves to get over these hudles, not crash through them.(If I find an easy way I'll tell everyone!)

I maligned Royal Mail it is actually Parcalfarce - just checked the tracking info I was given by the sender and last bit of info was "sent to wrong depot", unfortunatly they can't hear me from the kitchen (got to love solid Victorian building!) and the only snacky things I have in are cheese and ryvita - not really crutches friendly :rotfl:, I was hoping to have had some soup by now!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Poor you.
But yes, cheese, crackers and a knife are exactly the sort of thing I would have put in a bag and hung off my sticks in the past. Soup...not so much :eek:0 -
So you know if I save my calories till tonight would I be able to have a curry or something?

yes - but it's not wise to eat like this all the time as your metabolism will have a mental!
I am doing similar today as it is a friends birthday so I have had yoghurt, plenty of fruit, soup and I will have a vegi chilli for tea so that I can have some wine tonight.
You should still snack on low calorie things between now and tonight. Have an apple, some grapes, a few carrots - you won't use many calories but it's all good for you.
When I do this, I make sure I eat 3 proper meals the next day - and I only do it once in a while! Oh and bear in mind the calories in curry are HUUUUGE so stick to tomato based and no peshwari naan!
EDIT - Just wanted to edit to say - In the end, the only diet that works is one where you eat less calories and fat whilst getting all the fibre, vitamins and minerals you need over at least 3 balanced meals accompanied with exercise where you can. It is common sense and it works! - Just a shame I don't always practice what I rant!House saving Targets:

I only really eat tikka masala and I don't like naan bread
I don't eat like it all the time but I've had a tough week so need a bit of a treat, I won't eat a full curry only a little one
I don't really like apples but I think I've got some oranges in
