  • I find food focus doesn't have a good enough data base of food stored so I have to manually input nearly everything. It is a real faff if you cook from scratch too.

Is the calorie count one any better??

I have to manually input a lot. But I often only bother with what matters to me, fat, calories, fibre....if I'm rushing.
  • I can I join in again this month, I will weigh myself tomorrow morning and post it then. I had an up down month last month, but going back to the gym tomorrow.
  • I'll have to check out those sites - they sound like just what I need, I'm keeping a food diary but it's a bit like "so what?" when I'm not adding up my calorie intake for the day.

  • I'd like to join, mainly because your alliteration is absolutely amazing! :)

But also, I could do with losing a little. Have no idea of my weight and don't own a pair of scales but will buy some and join in properly!

Today I am 10st 12lbs. I was going to start off by saying this will be a tricky month as we've got loads of family birthdays and get-togethers, but then I thought 'what a rubbish excuse':o. I can't say I'm overweight because I have a large family! Plenty of people who are a healthy weight can socialise without going up a dress size!

So, I have my positive head on. My new weigh-in day will be a Thursday, and next Thursday I will weigh 10st 10lbs. I will I will I will!

I hope everyone has a good month. Positive thinking, it's all in the mind! We can do it!:j

OK change of plan for October. Was planning on loosing anopther 2lbs.
Last night I had my monthly sports injury massage session (for treating RSI) and I felt distinctly bony on the couch, could feel massuers fingers on bones etc. Also the chance for a good hour long chat while I'm lying there and we came to the conclusion it's time I stopped loosing weight:j
So 10st 5lbs or a round 145lbs is what I'm trying to maintain this month and beyond. Got to find a "good" 400 to 500 calories a day from somewhere which however strange it seems to say it - is rather daunting. Ummm, orange juice instead of water at lunch time, bigger breakfast (just finished a bigger bowl of porridge than normal)...

No before an after pictures, but I started out at 12st 13lbs or 181lbs in February. The following is a picture of me this morning wearing a belt which back in February was a snug fit

I can see my feet again without having to bend over to take a look :rotfl:
When you loose 25% of your body weight it is amazing how much lighter more nimble and quick on your feet you feel.
I walk fast every where, sometimes I run, I run up stairs (and don't get much out of breath), walk fast up escalators on the London underground because I can, it feels good, it's easy now!
It wasn't age (nearly 40) slowing me down, it was weight. 21 again, by body weight anyway and I think I feel about as good again.

When I first put my details into http://caloriecount.about.com saying I want to be 146lbs by July it came back and told me that was too much too fast and it would be October. It's the 1st of October today :D

I first joined in on these threads late in May where truth is I was struggling a bit. Look at June in my signature, bit of a plateaux there only 1lb lost. It's been good to learn of new tips, ideas for food, hear about others going through the similar and motivational for me to share what I picked up elsewhere too.

I'll stick around in the wings maintaining weight this month.
Good luck to everyone especially if your struggling.
And for The Lady Dragon :kisses3::A
