Hi all. I'm back :o (after a very long absence!) and would like to join up again to this month's challenge if I may. Every single one of the lbs I lost before is back on  and I need to rein myself in.
Starting weight is 14s 1lb :eek::eek:. I would be very grateful if you could add me Dragon.
    Thanks!

Having a minor panic as it is the work do tonight with free drinks and buffet! I think I will just have to try and stay strong lmao!
Feeling good this month though as I have been making sure I get the wii fit out and go for walks at lunch time!
Hope everyone has a good day

Buffet might have some crudite. :) Drinks: its work, you need to stay clearheaded as well as avoid those calories. I tend to opt for sparkling water in a short glass....if people choose to think its a G and T they can. I do usully hve one glass of wine too.

So October kicks of with a maintainer :T:T:T, well done AdrianHi, and welcome to all new members and a welcome back to those that have been here before!

I have managed to be very good so far this week (as those who are long standing members know at the moment I am too podgy for the home scales so I weigh in a Boots on a weekend), I have managed to get over 1,000 kcals each day so far and one day I got over 2,000! For those not in the know I tend towards semi-starvation and therefore either maintain or actually put weight on :o, according to Calorie Count I should eat 2,450 kcals a day to lose weight  - so onward and downward folks (except for AdrainHi of course!)
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

Anyway, the real reason I'm posting is because I wanted to ask if you were getting any professional help?
Caloriecount.about.com and the "normal" rules do not seem to be making any sense for you :(

Right, after a comfort eating lapse yesterday (grrr) I'm starting the month with a clean slate (and a headache).

Dragon, its a good idea to seek advice, and to tackle the starvation thing(which realistically only you can tackle). Even a glass of skimmed milk in the morning might help, rather than nothing. I similarly, have health problems and meds which complicate things a lot, I know how hard it is, especially when sticking to thing yields only small results which confound the ''science''.

Did you get that excercise plan sorted? I know you're limited, but even just a little in the morning of that plan might help. I seem to lose more if I exercise in the morning than in the afternoon, though I find it much easier to perform more exercise in the mid/late afternoon generally (this is from before I gained weight, I hd a trainer and we noted my performance good be twice/three times as good on sets of exercise, and my running stamina was doubled too).

Woo first day and feeling moivated!

You made me laugh Dragon - you've put my name as 'spagzbunny' which makes me sound like a nice rabbit and spaghetti dish - mmmmmm

I echo the comments people have made regarding the difficulties of eating out, social occassions. It always panics me, but really it shouldn't! It is not an excuse and I should just be able to just eat the healthy option and not feel the need to completely pig out! I think it's the fact the control is taken away from me - and I know I can easily get sucked into thinking 'well blow it, I might as well have a night off'!

Last few days I've been slipping a bit, the odd peice of bread when it's not needed, a handful of cereal when I'mnot hungry, a peice of cheese! I need to focus on my goal! I have been going to the gym twice a week though and running twice a week so if I can keep that up I'll be very happy!

It's funny isn't it! I have no problems with over-consumption when eating out or socially. I suppose what I like to portray is this healthy-eating, restrained person. Likewise on hols, when I love all the lovely fresh foods that are prepared for me and usually come back a couple of pounds lighter. My silly self-destruct times are home alone, when nobody's watching my white carb, buttered toast/crumpet/rich tea finger biscuits dunked in tea binges etc etc etc.

Anyway, to October! Good luck everyone!
