Hi all!!
I'm such a HAPPY BUNNY today! I lost an amazing 4lb's this week! Can't quite believe it yet though!
When i was in the chemist standing on the scales, one of the lady assistants walked past as i read what my weight was and she saw the look on my face, and she said to me 'not what you were expecting dear?' and I knew what she was thinking (fat cow :mad:) so i said - in a louder than normal voice, 'oh, i was just expecting to lose maybe 1lb NOT 4!'. She then gave me a surprised look and said 'oh, well, well done' and walked off! Ha - that was one in the eye for that skinny minny!!!
Anyway, well done all you loser's and sts'er's, and all you yet to be weighed'ers.
Going anywhere nice TARA747?:money::money::money::money:

Alexnikov, congrats on fitting into the size 18 jacket, ooh it's nice to feel the difference in clothes isn't it?
AdrianHi, thanks for all the info on plateaus and you handled yours. Shaking things up a bit seems to be a good idea, I guess your body gets into a rut and thinks it has you sussed, and then you trick it again! Gotta stay one step ahead!
I'm going to WI tomorrow for the last time for a couple of weeks, will post it here. I really hope to lose a few lbs on holiday, I'm determined to treat it as a healthy detox getaway and eat lots of fresh fruit and veg and juices, and exercise as much as poss. I'm off to ******** since you askWill delete that shortly as my mum, sis and work colleagues all know that I'm going there and they might twig who I am. I know my sis likes MSE but don't know if she's on the forums...

Posh - Well done!!! (both for the brilliant weightloss and for showing up the snotty shop assistant) You're tantalisingly close to 4stone lost now aren't you?
Well I had my weekly weigh-in this morning and I've lost 3 pounds exactly :j Just a pound away from having lost 2 stone since the start of August...so close!!0 -
Yay, did another Wii fit weigh in this mornign and have lost another 1lb..I know it's not much, but as I've been feeling so ill, I havent' been able to face the gym for a couple of weeks, so this has just been eating very little, and an hour of wii fit every morning..Will head to the gym this evening though!!0

Hmm! Sorry for first week's AWOL. 9th of October and here we go!
This post is a bit of navel-gazing really, so feel free to skip my self-indulgence!
Jumped on the scales this morning and pleased (relieved?) to have maintained 2 and three quarter pound loss which the weigh-in at the end of Sept.
Scoffing carbs like there was no tomorrow, last week. However, it was a bit of a go-with-your-body type thing and it was mostly the bread/pasta / cereal foodstuff and not sugary or junk. Was absolutely not in meat/fish eating mood which is unusual for me. It does make me feel bloated though! Def a TOTM thing, although things are changing on that front and the whole monthly event has only been happening quarterly this year IYKWIM!
As I think I've mentioned before, I do find this type of phase is balanced by a more moderate phase and today definitely 'feels' different and back to normal.
Got a school reunion next Saturday (40 years since we all started secondary school:eek: how unreal is that!!), so a couple of pounds off the middle would be nice. Have ordered a new dress from Debenhams online , not available instore to try on, it's not due til next Thursday, so further incentive to stay on track.
Well done on all the good work, haven't managed to read all the thread yet. I take my hat off to everyone with a long road still ahead. I made that journey 10 years ago and have managed to stay around the same weight, give or take a stone on and off ever since.
Believe me, it's well-worth it for every reason you can think of!
Love
