WI this morning 11-7lb, so only one pound losted this past week.
Definitely getting harder and an uphill struggle.
Since I began on 1st July exactly 14 weeks ago I have shed 14lbs.
Which isn`t bad although only ONE pound a week.
I feel as though I`ve reached a plateau at the moment and until my body "adjusts" could just stay level for a while.
Maybe others have experienced this and could comment (Adrian?)

Still maintaining plenty of exercise, walking and swimming.

alared, you are doing so well!!! *applause*

Plateaus are quite common, there are lots of articles online about them - Tesco Diets website has a few as does WW, HTH.

I'm going on hols this weekend, will post my weight tomorrow morning and then post-holiday (hopefully I will lose a couple of lbs!!!).

Plenty of evidence around regarding the plateau effect and ways of trying to deal with it. We know a weight loss anywhere in the 1 to 2 lbs a week range is good news. If you look over my signature you can see what weight I lost each month for a reasonably consistent calorie intake and activity level. June was definately a plateau feeling but I was also on Holiday drinking 180 calories worth of beer every night instead of twice a week - but then I was running around on the beach a lot.
After reading up about plateau's at the start of July I gave my body a bit of a break with 200-300 more calories a day for a week, started doing some stretching excercises 2 to 4 times a day to manage an RSI condition I have, then took away the extra calories again and weight loss seemed to continue.

Since you have managed to shift about 14lbs in as many week your body is obviously responsive to what your doing so I think the most important thing is keep the faith and keep it up :)

Weigh in for me last night, stayed at 10st 6lbs this week which is what I want to see :)
Still have not got the calories up quite as high as they probably ought to be. Brain is very conscious of what the calorie count is for anything and determined not to over do it, possibly being a little over cautious as a result.
