Hi all, I manage to get to the chemist after all, at 11am. Had a slow walk around the park for 1 1/2 hours before hand with DS and all his little pre-school buddies and did a bit of weight lifting while I was there too ;) (DS having tantrums - lol!)
To my utter surprise I lost another 4lb's ??? I'm not complaining tho', COS THAT MAKES 4 1/2 STONE LOST but not sure how I did it, but so glad that it seem's to be shifting again. :D

So as a treat, I went into wimpy's and had a toasted teacake and a glass of diet coke - mmm yum yum!!
Lunch has been an apple and a yogurt and a glass of flavoured water! Not gone too mad and will probably be hungry later, which is when i'll be reaching for the biscuits! got to learn self control, and limit myself to two and NO MORE!

Have a good day all, keep up the good work, speak to you all real soon! xx

  • Hi all, so pleased to see that you're doing so well. I wish I could say the same. After a few painful knee injections and some subsequent pain and feeling fedup I can honestly say that I am failing miserably at this weight loss lark this month. I am struggling to stay the same as I was at the end of September. I find inspiration reading this thread so keep up the good work everyone. I feel motivated to renew my efforts afther reading everyone's posts and as I need a knee replacement I have no excuses!

netta, thing is, its just a blip, you can start anew any time.

Have to say my dodgey knee is improving a lot since Ive lost over 2 stone. I realise now why it was hurting more all the time, it was complaining about the load it was carrying.

    New day, new start :)

posh, I get those 50% less fat "light rich tea" biscuits now so I can have one or two in the evening with coffee.

spugz - look after yourself hun, it's more important to get well than it is to fret about calories

Steph - there'll be nothing left of you soon :D

Well done on the BMI hethmar! I daren't even try and work mine out :o

Posh, you are an absolute marvel. Well done!

Netta, *hugs* for you. It can't be easy if you're in pain but just keep trying.

Apologies for double posting but I had my weigh in this morning and I've lost a little over 3 pounds, so that makes 2 stone 2 pounds since the start of August :j :D :j

Very very pleased to have cracked the 2 stone barrier and I'm being treated to some shopping this weekend as a reward. It's sorely needed, all my trousers are falling off :rotfl:

    Morning everyone:hello:

Big congrats to all those who've been losing and hang-on-in-there hugs to all those who are poorly / struggling atm.

    Alex, enjoy the new purchases!

Getting into a new size and buying new clothes is often the time othe people really start to notice and comment on your weight loss, which is motivating in itself. What are you going to do with the trousers you are too big? At the time I was moving down from the big sizes, I actually disposed of my old stuff immediately, (bin or charity shop!). For a while, I had a very limited wardrobe, but I didn't care! Getting the big clothes out of my life bit by bit was a kind of really positive affirmation that the old days had gone and this was how I was going to be in the future!

It also means now, when I put extra weight on, I realise I need to do something about it as I become uncomfortable and limited in what I can wear and I don't have any next-size-up clothes or elasticated waistbands waiting to accomodate me! Why has it taken me this many years to realise it's better to tackle an extra stone straight away than leave it to accumulate?????????

Anyway, have been on really back on track this week and delighted and a tad disbelieving to report a 4 and 1/4 lb loss :j.

    Have a good weekend everyone!

I'm charity shopping all the ones with some wear left in them. Incidentally if anyone wants a brand new, with tags still on, size 22 regular pair of Dorothy Perkins jeans, give me a shout - they're too big and too long! The really disreputable stuff is going to a charity fabric collection that my mum's school runs. And I've kept a pair of jeans so I can try them on for comedy purposes once I'm at my target size :rotfl:

4 1/4 lbs is amazing Bronnie, well done :D

Sounds like collectively your going to loose that toddler (in weight) this month!
    :j :A

Better weigh in for me last night, looks like I've maintained around the 10st 6lbs mark this week and stopped further losses. Phew. Don't need to be any thinner now.
