I'm losing heart with this now :( This week has been so hard one thing after another, like taking out a triangle workman sign denting my new car (i've had it a month) then having a row with my fella, it just never ends :(

And best of all I've got a quote to fix my car at £311 the damage really isn't that bad it's because he will have to respray the door and the whole back panel that goes towards the front of the car :( it is a jeep though!

  • Hi everyone I've been awol for about 2 weeks, but I'm still reading all your posts. Things aren't going well for me weight-wise, so I am giving up for this month but hoping to join you all again in November. I'm hoping maybe if I stop thinking and obsessing about my weight, I will lose a few lbs and not even realise :rotfl:

Hope you are all well and continue to keep up the good work :D

I managed to get a bike ride this weekend :j with DD, so that pleased her too!
Also, (cos at the mo the car is not working ) had to go on bike's to possible new school for DD last nite. So have had plenty of exercise this week, walking the kids to school,so finger's crossed for a good weigh in again this week.

OK, well, I went to the doctor today, and yes, it does seem indeed that something is up the spout with health and/or medication: but not what I hoped, a simple medication change!

so, I'm back on thursday for yet more tests, and I'm going to have to go in for an ultra sound for my thyroid and a scan to see if I've had any rapid changes since summer in my neurological condition.

The doctor was really helpful though, and feels that other, minor changes are worth trying should the results be clear/stable. :)

I copied down my Calorie Count intakes and pie charts etc for her, and that was also really useful: they could see quite clearly that iet hadn't changed and the charting of weight up and down. :)

Feeling really positive, despite all evidence o the contrary. :)

Third WI for this month and exactly the same as last week.
    Nothing lost,nothing gained,the plateau continues.
Only 1lb off since 1st Oct.
Hard to see when something`s going to give.
Can`t exercise anymore than I`m doing now or cut out anymore cals.
    Any suggestions appreciated.
Good luck to everyone for the final week of the month.

My only suggestion, esp if your daily calorie intake includes a lot of carbs, would be to try and switch around the types of food you're eating to try and give a bit of a kick-start again. Maybe try more protein and lower carb type foods, whilst still doing your calorie counting.

So eggs instead of cereal for brekkie, fish or poultry with salad or veg, and certain fruits are lower than others. (skip the bananas fora week !!), make a pan of low cal HM soup and keep it on the go for snacky moments, keep the bread/pasta/rice/spuds as low as poss

Just an idea (Oh if only I could take my own advice!!!)

Actually have been OK this week, Had a bit of a wobble with a fair few glasses of wine at the weekend and have had a sneaky look at the scales and have STS although to be expected after last week's loss. Overall feeling in control though atm!

LIR, like the sound of your pie charts too (YUM!)
