  • I would look at the brochure (if I found it, it wasn't obvious to me) would look at the pics, see your picture over the fireplace, assume you're swingers and not look becase I'd feel uncomfortable.

I'm sorry if that "winds you up" but you asked for opinions of people who will be looking at your house, and we've all given you ideas which you have dismissed. The picture puts me off. Take a new picture without it on the wall, then remove it when you have viewers.

    And sack the agent.

hi, ditto on the front page interior photos..

how long are you tied to your agent for? it does sound like he's not working for you. however, you could take a new digital picture of the living room yourself, email it to the agent and ask him to change it. my agent will do that for me, because i'm waiting for a sunny day! and wouldnt ask him to come out just for that - so i'd say the same for your living room.

but you're right, it's a very lovely house. its a real shame it isnt in northants where i'm looking!

    good luck!

the one thing we wont be able to sort is the Beetle, i really just cant afford a garage to store it as we are also saving for our wedding next year

If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
  • Looks like a nice house but as others have already amply stated - you need all (or at least a few of the best) pictures on the first page.

Personally I like to see a floorplan also as layout is key when buying a family house

I would also tactfully (unlike some other posters who i am sure wouldn't be as rude in real life) suggest changing the personal pictures especially any larger ones for more generic type prints that complememt your colour scheme. Its getting the balance right about de personalising your home but not to the extent that somneone else sees it as another boring magnolia box. People have to be able to see their own stuff in your house and personal pictures or ornaments etc make that harder

Good luck you have a great looking house

i know there have been some rather nasty comments about something that is just a photo. im playing about on 'paint' at the moment to try and block out the picture. i dont have any other applications on my computer apart from paint, and im sure that if someone 'zoomed' in on my dockted picture they would still complain.

i assume you are the person who has also posted about getting viewers to their house and i wish you good luck and hope they are nicer to you than they are to me

    :)

don't get me wrong - there's nothing rude about the pic at all unless you have a way overactive imagination. you should leave it as it is. anyway, good luck you too.
  • no no Hamblettamaud, i thank you for actually being nice
