I think it's a gorgeous house and doesn't need anything doing to the inside for selling or for living in. But agree you MUST get the pictures of the rooms on the main page, the agents are working for you not doing you some kind of favour! Tell the agents you have had feedback from the general public and the overwhelming response was the internal shots need to be on the main page.

You really ought to rethink the external shot - it simply doesn't do your lovely home any favours at all. The car looks a mess so shift it, no excuses, you will need to move it eventually so do so now. You desperately need more colour or greenery in the main picture - can you buy some large evergreens in pots and put them by the front door? Can you get some long tubs with autumn flowers in to put along the side elevation?

  • Thank you CaugarJo.

its actually brown suede paint. i did originally have some gorgeous black wallpaper, really was wonderful, ready for the photos to be done. but i got home from work and the dog had eaten a great big bit off it and when we went back to get some more they had stopped stocking it. typical. so went with the paint incase he tried to chew it again then i can just re paint it. i think he likes the taste of wallpaper paste cos its not the first time

i have faxed the agents with regards to the right move site and getting the pictures on the main page.

i apprechiate all of your imput and of course this is why i asked. im not making excuses and shall get things that i think need sorting, sorted :)

the one thing we wont be able to sort is the Beetle, i really just cant afford a garage to store it as we are also saving for our wedding next year so feeling the pinch. we are trying to purchase a house before we sell this (or as well as, doesnt really matter) so if this goes to plan (first offer rejected, which we expected) then we can move a lot of stuff, including the car to that place.

i do think that my house, compared to some is good the way it is. as with everything in life it could be better but there are alot worse

thank you once again for all your imput and as soon as i get the right move advert looking better with the pics on the main page i shall let you all see and see what you think

    :)

  • why dont you put your photos on zoopla aswell, a lot of peole look at that.

look at the competition in your area, do a rightmove search and see where you are on the list?

make sure the agent has got you in the window, and in the local paper

the market maybe slow, but we have has aour house on the market 6 months now and had a total of 20 viewings over 6 months (with 3 EA's) which i think isnt bad.

and it may help to give a key to the EA, then if people want to see it when your at work or away they dont have to wait

    good luck
its only a bargain, if you need it or will use it.

I would want to see what the room dimensions are in feet and inches
I'm the same... I have no idea how big meters are in my head, so it'd have to be a very special house to make me sit and work them out.

Also, yes, the pics - most people won't click a brochure unless they're seriously interested from the first picture.

It used to be that you could add your own property as one 'for sale', but I've just had a looksee and they seem to have removed the functionality now.
  • typical, just cos i wanted to add
