Get a fitted Beetle cover, and cover it up. Retake the external photo, and upload it to RM. It's not adding anything at the moment.
Alternatively, is there a local garage or dealer who'll store it for you?0 -
Who are the half-naked people in the photo or picture above the fireplace? Whether or not that's you, family, or others, that has GOT to go before the viewings...... they are clothed but i agree it doesnt look like it on the picture.
Looks like a well-presented house - the staging and decluttering is good, maybe needs a bit more taken off the shelves in the bedroom. unfortunatly my partner works from home and this originally was his office before i made him de clutter it that much and put up a fake bed etc, he has to have the things on the shelves out all the time to do his job, he is already cursin me for making him tidy it up as it is now
Sales tactics; sale board, yep internet, yep agent's window.they rotate so not all the time Local papers and press. again its not all the time with any agent in Brid' but its been in and will be again You're in a cul-de-sac - where's the nearest high-volume traffic? couple of streets away Has the agent put a road-end board up? no council dont like it Has the agent done flyers, cards, or other promotionals to your neighbours, and the surrounding streets? none of them do in brid, they charge alot for nothing at all really Do something to get the neighbours talking about your house, and possibly telling friends and family. we have told everyone we know and even started a Facebook event thingy.
Who is likely to move to your 3-bed? Identify who they might be, and tell them about your house.
That's a start. Any of these you haven't done yet?
i did print off some flyers , but so far have been a little scared to hand them out. i dont like people you see and havnt got desprate enough to go to them lengths, but the flyers are ready if needed
i have faxed the agents to see why the picture aint on the main right move site and whether they can be, so shall see what they say.
Thank you to all posters0 -
"we have told everyone we know and even started a Facebook event thingy."
Fine as it goes, but I mean tell EVERYONE for about 250-300 houses around you that your house is FOR SALE. Not just your friends, not just the folk on facebook, but EVERYONE.
Again, think about who is likely to move to your 3-bed? Identify who they might be, and tell them about your house.

Nobody's asking you to talk to the neighbours, just pop a flyer through their letterbox. If you're nervous about people complaining, do it at 6.30am when they're all asleep. Either that or get the agent to earn their fee and persuade them out of the office to get some fresh air.0 -
I'd still remove the photo above the fireplace.....0

they wont take new photos. the agents here are not like that. i know what your all gonna say but its just the way it is. if it hasnt had any viewings or real movement by next year then i will insist on it

monkeys, if people here give you advice and you ignore it all... well, good luck, but it does sound like you are making excuses
get new pictures. it's digital these days, it doesn't cost much. The EA is working for you so make them! remove picture. clear all work stuff out for the pictures, you can put it back right after.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
Just a small point - I would want to see what the room dimensions are in feet and inches. You have them in metres but that doesn't mean much to me (and I'm not old either, lol). I can't get a feel for how big the rooms are.
Is the wall in the dining room painted black or blackboard paint?
I think you have a lovely house and if I was looking for a 3 bed house in your area I'd be very interested indeed!! Good luck with your sale0 -

Seconded.
If the EAs not prepared to get out for some fresh air and do a few more photos..... it's maybe time for another EA!0
