Hey all,
im selling my house in Bridlington and have looked into 3 estate agents (the top 3 in our town) and chosed 1. we are up with them and the board is up, the brochure is done and its on right move etc. the agents says our house is nice and should sell and in my opinion is at a good price.
i have also got a 'event' on facebook which i got my friends to join and tell their friends about just to raise awareness of the sale.
i also put a avert/card in the window of 3 newsagents in town and super market.
i know the house will sell if i can get someone through the door to see it.
any ideas how i can rain people in to view?
thank you

Ask your estate agent how many people they have wanting a viewing (They should have a list of people looking for property in your area)
Find some quirky interest side to your house sale (Anyone famous lived there? Got a mad hobby that's took over the house? etc) and see if you can get the local paper to run a story0 -
if the estate agents have a list of people wanting to view, would they not ring me and ask if they could let them view?
good idea but unfortunatly i have owned it since 2001 and it was only built in 40's nothing exciting has happend to it or to me lol
i know the market is slow at the moment but its a really good price and nice house, has great features such as wood floors and mutli burn fire etc etc i know if someone comes to look round they will want it.
its not been up long but i dont want the agents to loose hart if its on too long etc if you know what i mean. there is no chain and its stamp duty exempt...............*sigh*

Someone did this in our area -- claimed there might be WWII era gold buried in the back garden. I don't know if helped sell the house or not, but it got the house and the EA some free publicity.0 -
i typed into google ' history of Hermitage Road Bridlington' to see if it gave me anything good to start with and the top story is someone gettining robbed in 2002....maybe not then

i mean i have a board up (but its a dead end street), its on the web (right move etc) and i have it in newsagents windows, i just cant think of anywere else. woudl have been a great idea with a story in the paper but im just too boring (it is rather hard to get in our paper though, i would prob' have needed to have had a murder there or something to get them interested)

I think you'll find that is a 'quiet cul-de-sac'.0
