Hi
I am an estate agent of 23 years. We use rightmove to market our houses and find it very successful. A few points to consider;
1. Internal photos on the front screen are ESSENTIAL
2. It costs the agent more to have more info on rightmove, but if 8 out of 10 buyers find their purchase online, I would suggest that this would be a wise investment.
3. Rightmove give info to its agents on "click through rate", these are statistic on how many people are looking at your property compared with others that your agent has on the market at the moment. If others are getting plenty of activity and yours isn't there HAS to be a reason for it.
4. GET INTERNAL PICTURES ON RIGHTMOVES FRONT PAGE
5. Have you considered getting your agent to get a "Premier Listing Box" for your house, it will cost you, but they do give much more exposure than you are getting at the moment.
Hope this help, best of luck0 -
they are clothed but i agree it doesnt look like it on the picture.
They don't look clothed to me. It has to go.
Also photos have to be on the main page. I'm not going to waste time on opening brochure when there is only one pic on listing page, as I've often found in those instances the brochure only has one pic as well.0 -
I agree. Is very nice house & I would consider it if I was looking in that area. HOWEVER, agreed - You need to get internal pics on main rightmove page. YOU ARE THE CLIENT AND THE ESTATE AGENT IS WORKING FOR YOU! Print off & show him peoples comments. If I see a house with only an outside picture on rightmove, I immediately discount it, as it indicates the inside of the house is !!!!!! Your house is nice - get those internal pics on the front page on Rightmove. I'm sure it may well make all the difference!0

You don't have to have a local agent.0

I've got the zoomFox plugin for my browser, which allows you to right click on any image and quickly zoom magnify it with the mouse wheel. I zoom checked what that photo was all about.

ha ha thats just a bit creepy with the zooming in thing haha
im going to give the agents some time to answer me about the right move thing then will consider paying the £95 to up grade the listing myself

No....it's a cul-de-sac. 'Dead-end-street' sounds like it's in some western starring John Wayne.
I agree with others, get pictures on the front page, and preferably a floorplan too. (I never open brochures and always go to the floorplan before the photos). I would not have looked further than your one photo and would have discounted your house as not having enough information/something to hide.
Get rid of the soft !!!!!! picture and if you can't do anything about the car, cover it up or stick some nice potted ferns/bamboo in front of it (which would also give you a bit of greenery in your front garden).
Nice house, once anyone takes the trouble to look further than the front page.

I'm currently loosely browsing for our first home, but I wouldn't give yours a second glance. The reason being your selling point is the internals, the outside is very standard. And all I can see on rightmove is one external picture. The brochure won't even load up on my old work computer, so I'd just move on to the next house. Also if the search on rightmove only says one pic available I don't even open the advert. All that info NEEDS to be on the main page if you want to get people interested, as while your external might not grab me the nice internals would pursuade me to look further and maybe come for a viewing.
Also like others have said, I know feet and inches for room measurements (embarrassing considering I'm 24 and work in planning!), so wouldn't have a clue if yours are reasonable or not. give meansurements in both.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Get rid of the soft !!!!!! picture - this is starting to annoy me now. i understand you dont like my picture but people zooming in on it to find out what clothes are worn and calling it !!!!!! is just getting a little upsetting
Nice house, once anyone takes the trouble to look further than the front page.

I think you'll find that is a 'quiet cul-de-sac'.
We are at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and that is exactly why I want a sign up - people won't be passing by, but I be they glance up from time to time and if they are looking they will be driving around to see what different areas are like etc (I know coz that's what i do!!)
If you have a sign, it will encourage people to drive up and take a look, then they will see what a good plot etc you have and contact the agent0 -

What do you mean, "the agents here aren't like that"? surely you are paying them to sell your house? You're not getting mates rates or 0% commission!
You are employing them to represent you, if don't want to do that, then find someone who will. All the effort you are putting in ie flyers etc, you will still have to pay the agent's fees, so make them earn them!!
Or go with housenetwork (an online agent)- they get you on rightmove, you have masses of photos. You may not save loads of money (but I think you'll save some) you pay £199 upfront and £499 when you complete. You do the viewings, but they get you on rightmove, take pics, do the floor plan, they don't have a high street presence.
Our is going on the market with them in the next couple of days. check out this thread House network -a review0
