No idea why I can't put the pic itself in!
If so, you may be able to get them from someone who has a compost bin themselves. We have loads.

Some websites stop their pictures being leeched, as it uses their bandwidth and nobody actually visits their site.
As for the worms - I have heard they are used for bait by anglers, so try a local fishing tackle shop.
Links to confirm this ... http://www.fishing4fun.co.uk/bait/index.shtml
And a place that sells them for bait and composting http://www.thewormwizard.co.uk/them.htm

Ebay.
Including postage and packing it will come to about six pounds for a good dollop of them

Definately try fishing tackle shops, at my local one a tub of worms is £1.15 for at least 30 worms and once you've got them they should keep multiplying, tho' I have had them apparntly die off in a bad cold snap.
Also if you get some manure from a local stables right at the bottom of the muck heap there should be a lovely supply of them.
Just watch out tho' as my husband is allergic to them so I presume other people may be too; he gets me to put them on his fishing hooks - yeeeaauuggghhhJust call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
Trouble at Mill website is no longer available. Any ideas of where to find more diy wormery plans?0

It is just me and my husband and I want to start getting greener in the garden. I like the idea of either a composter or a wormery but don't know what would be best for us. My husband doesn't eat veg so we don't get many veg peelings but he does do potatos so we do occasionally get potato peelings. What might be best for us and what can be put into either a composter or a wormery. I have read through this thread but am just confusing myself (doesn't take much :rotfl: )Did owe £9,951.96

Hi everyone,
I am completely new to gardening, and have started a small vegetable patch. Whilst weeding, I've been finding a few white worms (for want of a better description). Does anyone know what these are, and should I ignore them or destroy them as I go?
Many thanks in advance.New Mantra: I must not visit MSE until after I've completed all my chores!!!!!0
