So they will match mobileoutlet, mobile rainbow, mobileshop & phones2u - how about others? Could a kind boardguide or the OP add the list to the top post?
Just a tip though, you will lose the cashback (ie https://www.topcashback.co.uk or quidco), so I personally would factor that in any decision - I got a 2600 free on o2 250 free for the year with £25 back - ok, I'd have preferred a 3220 or a 6030, but are they worth £25 more?Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0 -
Hey
Anyone had probs with a price match deal. on wednesday i was given the go ahead, all bank details given and told my phone would be here thursday or friday at the latest, no show today. Phoned them up and they have not even got anything for me, they say it is an IT problem with certain price-matchesHave been told that they will phone me monday to let me know what is happening but i have to say i really dont hold much hope, they reckon there has been alot of this but i tend not to believe and wondered if anyone on here had had problems?

i got a deal with mobile rainbow matched - tmbile, 12 months free. 500 mins and 200 texts, RAZR V3. i submitted the request Wed lunchtime, got a call at 5pm Thursday, phone deleivered 9am Friday (though the said it would be monday at work as i wasn;t going to be in at home on Friday)
I lost the quidco points (Well actually quidco don't do them) but at least i won't have a talkworldonline going bust situation.0 -
paragp wrote:I am just wondering if anyboby has had any experience with CPW with regards to their price match policy?
have you had any luck with CPW matching deals on other websites?
If so, was this before or after you made a purchase from them?
I got a price match last week AFTER purchase.
This is the deal I got when I purchased the phone:
Samsung D600
200 mins xnet
100 mins text
12 months half price line rental (Cashback)
12 month contract
£17.50 p/m
I wasn't that happy with the tariff after purchase so started hunting around. After a brilliant post by Mobile Mark in http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=188969 i went for exactly the same phone with a price match from mobile outlet...
Samsung
200 mins xnet
100 mins text
7 months free line rental (Cashback)
12 month contract
£14.58 p/m
Went back into the store... told them a)was never really completely happy with the tariff b)had read this thread where customers had recieved a price match. c)showed them the mobile outlet listing
They agreed to it on the spot. I think they were quite happy that I wasn't asking for a refund. BUT they did say that this would be given to me as a cash refund after a couple of months i.e after I'd paid a couple of bills.
Please note:
- I did take the phone back within less than a few days of buying it
- The phone had not been used at all.
- I dealt with the manager who listened to what I had to say and confidently agreed to the price match "no problem". Not sure if someone less experienced would have dealt with it so well.
thanks to all and paragp whom i spoke of fondly when requesting the cashbackSnootchie Bootchies!0 -
