Price Match from Carphonewarehouse

I am just wondering if anyboby has had any experience with CPW with regards to their price match policy?

have you had any luck with CPW matching deals on other websites?

If so, was this before or after you made a purchase from them?

Any experiences would be useful..

I put in a price match over the weekend and got a phone call back today to ask if I wanted to go ahead. I gave him some of my details, he did a credit check, then said he'd ring back within 24 hours as they have to set up the deals especially. He rung back an hour and a half later to say it had all gone through fine and take my bank details. The phone will be delivered tomorrow! The only down side was they have to send it to my home address rather than uni where I am now.

The price match was more of a phone match - matching their 12 months free line rental on O2 250 with this deal from mobileshop.com http://www.mobileshop.com/mobile-phones/o2/contract-mobile-phones/motorola-l6.php/pnewo2mol60004 so I get a motorola L6 instead of the nokia 2600. I need a triband phone as I'll be going to america a few times over the next year.

all I could see on the web site were promises like: if you buy a phone from CPW and see it cheaper elsewhere we will match the difference.

You didn't mention making any commitment prior to getting the deal. Any details would be appreciated!

I put in a request to price match a sony ericsson payg phone being sold £50 cheaper with phones 4u.Never heard anything back from them!.Does'nt give me much confidence in taking their broadband services either!

Hi ben,

I did it online - I went to the contract on the carphone warehouse website (the nokia 2600) and above the picture of the phone there's a link saying "cheapest on the web guaranteed" which I clicked on and filled in the form. I hadn't made any commitment to join them - they rung back and asked if I wanted to go through with the deal with the upgraded phone.

they will not macth most website deals as they claim they are not directdelaers with the networks.
so this leaves only the other cpw websites, osps, e2save and mobileshop abd mayb a few others. they all tend to have the same offers anyway

I got a price match on V3 orange deal with 400 min and 100 text. They price matched phones2udirect

well people to be honest it is a brilliant idea ..
i filled the form twice with 2 different deals and contact numbers and i got a call straightaway with 2 hours and agreed to beat both deals where i get all my MONEY back for 12 months worth 420 with a free fone and 500 mins anytime on t-mobile...12months contarct.
so i did buy lt finally ..

(p.s please do share ur price matchs so that people can benefit with getting cheaper deals WITH A RELAIBLE SHOP ...RATHER THAN COOL NEW MOBILE AND THOSE LOT ...
