just phoned CPW redemptions. I sent off my claim last monday and wanted to know if it has been received. The advisor said it will take 3 weeks before the system is updated, and I will receive a text. Told me to call back if I don't get the text after 3 weeks.
Is this how long it takes just to get a confirmation? No wonder they have such a big claim window!0 -
update -
sent claim 5 Sept
received text 19th Sept text message - "we have received your cashback claim..." etc
so far so good.
I think three weeks is the minimum you should wait before calling them. 60 days to send in cheque means you can resend it 1/2 times if needed.0 -
thanks - that injects some confidence and belief I have with CPW.
BTW did you sent yours by recorded or special delivery? I sent my recorded to Wednesbury PO box but still not showing delivered.0 -

Your're OK...
when I first started I used to send them recorded however past three claims I just stuck a first class stamp on it. For this pricematch I put a second class stamp on it:D (just make sure you get "proof of posting" - small white card)
why?
1) There is a misconception with recorded delivery. it's just a royal mail con. you get same level of compensation with recorded as with first class stamp.
2) it doesn't get priority over first class and doesn't increase chance of delivery
3) I have a bunch of recorded delivery slips over three months old none of which say delivered on royal website. so how would your argument with cpw look if RM don't bother with completing the process.
4) i'm not bothered if cpw lose my claim (things happen) they give me 60 days so I can send in the claim several times again. if urgent then by fax.
In my opinion the key thing about cashback claims is to get the company to confirm receipt. so call them after three/four weeks and they should be able to state when the cheque has been raised.0 -
just an update - I phoned the redemption dept again for progress of my claim, spoke to a really helpful CS, she checked and told me a cheque has been raised 2 days ago and will take upto 2 weeks to get to me. Also asked her to confirm the amount on cheque just to make sure she's not fobbing me off.
I asked why I didn't get a text, she said not all customers get one.
Will post another update if and when I receive the cheque! :j0 -
I'm a bit late sending my 4th bill in. How long is the redemption period?
Also, do CPW accept copies and does a missed claim after 4th month affect claims in months 8 and 12?
The T&Cs I got via email mention none of these things0 -
you have 2 months ie 60 days to send in your 4th bill to cpw so .. dont know as u said u was late..
how late ....0 -
I sent off my 4th bill 10 days ago recevied a text on tuesday saying it had been received. I got a text today to tell me it had been successfull and to allow 14 days for the receipt of my cheque. That appears to have gone quite smoothly. I have never done a cashback contract before because I have been put off by all the horror stories, but so far so good0

sent claim recorded on 11 Sep
received text to say claim received and successful on 22 Sep
received cheque on 7 Oct.
1 down, 2 to go.:T0 -
I sent in two requests for a price match and did not have the courtesy of a reply. I got the runaround from CPW for almost a month. Their customer care department were far from understanding any kind of customer relations. CPW boast good customer care but cannot deliver. It seems it is pot luck as some are getting satisfaction and others are not. All I can say is good luck to you if you have a problem.0
