Lil-me, are you still there......posted the othe other day about your search for left handed stuff.......did you get anything and was it any good? Thanks xx

Can I help? Have been left-handed all my life :D

I have done 2 loads of washing which dried nicely out on the line; been shopping at Mr A which was packed with queues going down every aisle  and cleaned the bathroom.

Also had a lovely salad lunch including 10 little home-grown tomatoes :D :T

valli - I take it you had a good night ;)

sexymouse - well done on completing your second week. I'm shattered so can only guess how you feel.

L-L and Toots - continued hugs and prayers for you both xx

    Now, where's that list .....................?

and i dont like chic lit but do quite like period stuff.
26 cats!!!! Does DH know about this item on your wish list????!!!!!!

I much prefer period stuff -Patricia Wentworth, Margery Allingham, Josephine Tey, Ngaio Marsh, etc but I read pretty much anything if I am desperate. Just read all the Morses for the first time, and working through Ian Rankin and Sharpes.

DH does know about the 26 cats wish, but he who must be obeyed says no which is fair enough. He does live here too, and pays all the bills so I can't complain. My ambition is to be one of those slightly dotty old ladies with far too many cats. My maternal grandmother used to steal other peoples if she thought they were neglected in any way :o.

Bathroom is looking good, we are just deciding if it is worth buying 10 metres of solid wood worktop for the kitchen before we run out of money again or if it will just get ruined in the garage till the rest of the work gets done. He works very hard when he is here but he has knackered his back twice in the last ten years and there is little left to operate on if it goes again so I try very hard not to ask too much of him. No laughing but it went last time the day after DS2 was born when he tripped over a cat in the dark and fell down the stairs. Luckily it was dark so he didn't know which cat! I do not recommend looking after a crippled husband, a toddler and a new born, dogs and cats all at the same time - indeed that is how the last house got into such a mess originally . He couldn't pick DS2 up for six months till he had the second operation!

Kazwookie ~ I'd be very careful about the waiting for the football results strategy, as my dh has previously suggestsed that we can listen to Radio 5 live on the bedroom radio and indulge in a bit of dual tasking :o
When we got home after our wedding, DH informed me that there was a football match on and the TV went straight on. However, he was soon distracted and learned pretty quickly that he couldn't concentrate on football at the same time! :D

Lil_me well done on sorting out Ikea and telling them what’s what, not long now til the 27th – we are away on the 26th, so enjoy your holiday! You deserve it after the busy time you’ve had moving house

Sarah, hope your conjunctivitis clears up

Sexy, hugs, glad the job is going so well and hope you find the new routine less draining soon

    Lilysue hugs

Natty I’ve probably missed you, but hope you have a lovely holiday

Valli glad you had a great time, my mum always asks pubs to turn the musack down and uses the same reasoning you did

Boddy, sorry I think I missed what happened at your mum’s eye appointment. Sorry she was upset xx

Grateful, you are not pathetic, it’s exhausting starting a new job so just focus on that and th basics at home until you get used to it more and have a little more energy

    Hugs Mummyof5

Big hugs Triker, try to have a shower and put clean pjs on and you will feel much happier when you feel nice and clean

Well, I've had a lovely nap and not done anything else really. DH phoned and it sounds like he won't be home for a while - they have finished golf but are going for a drink now - so I've got a bit longer to get things done.

There's an ambulance over the road outside the house where the man with cancer lives. I hope he's ok. He's seemed a bit better lately, been going out more

Triker - can you get someone to run you a bath, and while you're in it, open your bedroom windows to air the room, and change the sheets? If you can't, because the sheets need washing etc, then get your DDs/DH organised so that everything's clean for tomorrow. And ask someone to help you wash your hair if you can't do it yourself as it will make you feel much cleaner.

Is your bedroom still cluttered? If so, can you start moving it to another part of the house so that you have a bit more room for air to circulate?

I've nearly finished making my bed, but keep getting distracted by the lists of all the stuff I need to do!

toochoosey sorry I thought I had replied but when I searched the post I thought I made isn't there. We didn't manage to get much off specific sites, I picked up some scissors and stuff through a catalogue at school but most other things we haven't changed for him.

Well we didn't go to the caravan, ended up having a barney with him to top it off but anyway we're going out for the day tomorrow, it's now all sorted inc dog care, we probably don't have the time or energy but need a break before the week of chaos I suppose. Watching Finding Nemo with the boys, wonderful on Disney HD on the new tele :) it's like being at the cinema. Going to finish watching it then bath/bed for them and sort picnic for tomorrow.
One day I might be more organised...........
