  • Hi guys.

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. It's been beautiful here today, and we seem to have had yet another busy weekend.

Friday - my sister came for an unexpected visit so i was able to give her her birthday present and card early. I also spent some time batch cooking spag bol and chilli. I used some soya mince for the first time and was quite pleased with it. By the evening i was shattered as neither kid napped, so we chilled out with a bottle of wine and a DVD. I managed to get both kids bedding changed and also do some other washing and dry outside.

Saturday - We all went blackberrying in the local woods. We had a walk down to the supermarket for essentials and tried to return library books but i got opening hours wrong. We came home and did some heavy pruning in the front garden and filled the wheelie bin, then washed both cars with the boys. Very wet but they enjoyed it. I then made us all a curry. Once i got the kids in bed i had to iron and sort out things we needed for a christening today.

Today - this morning i got a sausage and butterbean casserole in the slow cooker first thing, dealt with a wet bed, then dropped our books off at the library. We then went to the christening and do afterwards. By the time we got home we all were fit for not much more than slobbing, so i was mighty glad of my casserole. I have tonight however made about 1.5 kilos of blackberry and apple jam, sorted some birthday cards for 2 rellies, and got DH to tidy up after me. ;):D

I'm far from being perfect, but i am enjoying myself trying to get some semblance of order back and taking care of my family better, so i will be back in again next week. The house is certainly improved from this time last weekend, so the only way is onwards and upwards for me. Will try to be better at doing the lists here this week though and try to do stuff i didn't manage this week.

I'll try to catch up with the thread now before the new one, although i may already be too late.
