Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Binbag dance - Grab a binbag and run around the house filling it up with rubbish.. I like to do this the day the bins are due to be emptied.. it fills the bin and decutters!
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
5GC five minutes gardening.. make it lovely for your family and enjoy it!

1. You don't have to complete the daily list on the same day to get your star but try and do some in the week to give yourselves more free time at the weekend
2. You must do levels 1,2 and 3 to get a star but remember the 'extras' are extras and don't count towards the stars!
3. Please make it obvious when you have finished a list so that I know you need a star - for example Monday Done!
4. If you dont have something on the list then it gets deleted - e.g. clean out pets - if no pets no cleaning out done - delete!
5. Similarly when it says childrens rooms then you should substitute spare room/utility room/conservatory...etc if you have no childrens rooms.
6. If you have no spare room or any other room not on the weekly list then make sure you do any thing thats on that list that you haven't already done earlier in the week and try to substiture similar type jobs - make an effort please!!
7. You should not be deleting stuff just because you CBA!!
8. You may delete stuff if you are not physically fit to do something!
9. And for goodness sake remember that the stars are for FUN - there will be no discrimination - no sulking - no striking - no bribing- no cheating - or there will be no stars!!! so there!!
Last week there were 135 stars awarded with 9 flyers doing all five days lists. Well done everyone!

Morning ladies!Jinky!! - Well what can I say, I like you tooooooo
. Fancy seeing you on the flylady thread. Though I am guessing you only like me cos I provide such fantastic snacks.. :rotfl:
Soappie - thank you hon and I am doing OK.. been totally obsessed with my garden and of course cannot do a lot of the flyladying due to my health but I used to find it really helpful to post lists of things for me to do as motivation, so am trying to get myself back into that..
Valli - hello sexy!! Did you miss me?
Dusty kitten - Aww thank you! Before I start my list I just want to thank all of you again who prayed and lit candles for my best friend Tristan in America who has prostate cancer. You may remember he went into a 10 day coma back in February this year and we arranged a day of thoughts and prayers and candles with this thread and the Daily, and whether you believe it made a difference or not, 24 hrs after we did that, he started to come round and within 36 hours he was awake and trying to talk. The Drs called it a miracle as they had already told us that he wouldn't come out of it. Anyway, my update is that although he is still very ill, he is still with us which has been a huge bonus to all of us who love him.Ok, my list for today is as follows -
Feed the cat at least twice
Brush the cat (she can't reach all the way round herself to groom her back these days)
Sort and delete emails
reply to emails
Clean bathroom sink
Spray bleach on the bottoms of the shower curtainsExtras
Top up all cat treat boxes.
Clean shower stool
Write 3 letters, print and post
Fill in BS form for OH to collect cheque
order some lavender plants or at least research the best prices
Ring godson to arrange for him to come and paint the fence
Research carpet cleaning firms for quotes
Darn the ripped sheet
Parcel up returns to John Banks and ask OH to postOk, I will come back if I can think of any more.I hope you all have a successful day flying!to all who need them
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
