Reminds me of a time when I was about 12 and I'd been told to get the bus home after an after school rounders match. I didn't know how to read a timetable and the bus station had 2 possible places to wait in for buses going to where I needed. I didn't have a mobile then to explain that I couldn't find the right bus, and there was no-one to ask, so I ended up missing about 3 buses. My Mum had called the police by the time I finally got home after a long walk back from the main road, as I hadn't known to press the red button to stop the bus either.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

I know what you mean, it's not only which stops they might have got off at but also who else might get on at those stops. Throw into the equation practically no train staff or police in attendance and they are on their own.
I just hope DD has remembered the 'don't natter when walking in the dark at night but keep an awareness of your surroundings' lecture she got when we walked down Tooley St to Tower Bridge Road - because she WOULD NOT shut up and I was so aware how vulnerable we would look to a mugger...
Note to self tell her to look for return train when she FIRST GETS THERE next time - and to know that she has to go BACK and not carry on!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

It seems a shame to raise just the one glass on such an important date... lets make a night of it... first one to pass out has to do the other one's ironing!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

sounds like a cunning plan!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

And no doubt three sobbing girls would be believed when they tried to assure transport police that they had got to Leeds by accident ...
And therein lies the problem, the lack of police. DH's patch was one of the largest geographically in the country (almost 200sq miles) and at times you would be lucky if there were 4 people policing it, now if there are 2 it's classed as fully manned :mad:Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

I remember dragging kids round town and showing them bus stops - even though we used to use them when they were younger. I had a to catch buses to school that went from Oswaldtwistle (ask Daz, Jink!) through Church into Accrington and then back out the other side..
My kids walk to school it's so close!
(The route was from the Black Dog (pub) -to the Load of Mischief (pub) so you would see buses full of kids labelled Load of Mischief!)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Fine if you are a competent traveller and know your route - but how on earth do you cope if you're unfamiliar with the process, or have difficulites of some description.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli current thinking is to dress burns, as they are so vulnerable to infection. I got a hot oil burn on my hand... ouch.... I left it, as I was always told to let burns dry out, when I finally had to go to the doc with it, they went bananas at me for leaving it exposed for a week

valli - definitely cover it
quillion - i'm doing ok. bloods have come back borderline but as they were taken just before rather than after a period they aren't much good anyway. I am back at the endo on 9th oct and he said he would probably put me on metformin. I have switched to a low GI diet and have lost about 8lb through being really good. I have come off the pill (dr recommended i did) and feel generally better for it. I want to start ttc but dh says wait til i've lost some more weight as will be better in the long run. face hair is not really any better. Thanks for asking xxMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
I have some big dressing plasters so I have covered it. Chances are I would 'wear' the skin off the blister overnight esp as I am a restless sleeper and I am worried that I would then be open to infection.
