I am 35 nearly the next one along from this

Still young then! Plenty of time to do lots of things with your life (and it may not be too late for kids either if everything else falls into place). I'm a couple of years older than you and I still haven't found someone I'd want to have children with - I know it's leaving it late, but I don't want to settle for someone just because it means I can have a family as I know that would make me unhappy in the end. But I do have to try not to let myself become a hermit (which I'd probably be quite happy with !)

    Quite similar to me then!

    Probably!

It always takes me a long time to get over relationships. Although I'm over the last one (nearly two years now) I'm enjoying being on my own and getting to know and like myself for who I am without feeling the need to live up to someone else's expectations. I might meet someone, I might not, but at least I know I'm happy with who I am and I know how I want to live my life and what I am and am not prepared to compromise on.

Give yourself some time to find out who you are when left to your own devices, and if someone else comes along, make sure that they accept you for who you are rather than feeling you have to be who they want you to.

Actually... I think I'm probably too [STRIKE]selfish[/STRIKE] independant now to be able to live with anyone else!

Fedup.. If you fancy a weekend bugging us over here on the east coast you are more than welcome.. I have a bed I can spare you.. and if you make it a weekend when the beasts aren't here I'll have 9 empty bed and a sofabed.. we can have a night out and maybe even drag Triker out for lunch.. (or she is more than welcome to come out with us I just thought she may not be able to as she isn't 100%) You are absolutely NOT too old to have children.. well if you are then I am too but I am hoping there are another 2 waiting to come into my life.. and there is a super-special person out there looking for you right now..

Sack him off.. if he doesn't want to be with you then he doesn't love you enough, if he did he would want to be with you every second.

You have so much to offer and he is just taking advantage of your love for him. You cannot wait around on him becoming an adult so grab that horny bull and start living your life for you!!

ETA - MOAM - if it helps, I can bring my ironing round, you're close enough :D In fact, I'll be working even closer to you than I was before... this could be a long-term arrangement :D I hope your DS has a wonderful birthday weekend.

Well I do love ironing and with my new ironing machine....

Seriously though, once you're settled into your new employment, we'll have to meet for a coffee or something. Not often people find their way to my part of the world..it's not that exciting..

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

I think, well actually I know people do find love after 35 and have children. 2 good friends of mine split up at that age, they decided not to have children. Anyway new relationships started for both of them pretty soon after and now with other people they both have a little boy, one is 3 weeks older than the other, from what I know they were both due about the same time which I find incredibly spooky....but yes life does go on 35+

Sandwiches made, bottles of juice filled......need a shower now
One day I might be more organised...........
